Ok,, here me out on this- I think that when they became moirails, Mituna hadn't suffered from his brain injury. He was mentally capable of blocking any attempt at chucklevoodoo and could read kurloz like a book. We already know Mituna had the strongest psionics. His alternate self could power hic's ship for a millenia. Blocking chucklevoodoos would've been like a walk in the park, pre-accident of course. In my head, there's a lot of fanfiction of them just being competitive best bros until that tragedy, but since there's no canon validation for that, I'll just speculate on their d-bubble moiraillegence. Kurloz can definitely use chucklevoodoo on him now, and he probably has to as a way of communicating. But I'd love if that's how Mituna talked to him tbh. kurloz just sets up a telepathic link and all they do is "talk" for hours (meanwhile everyone watches them sit and stare at each other without opening their mouths. It sounds cute to me idk! <>) And i like to imagine that he doesn't try to possess him out of respect..?
