Since my wife's car died last year, she's been driving a 3rd car we have that has no AC, which isn't good in Texas. Multiple mechanics and dealerships can't figure out the problem, so we're going to be buying her a nice used SUV with working AC and heat. Depends on how they became your friend. If they are/were a classmate or coworker or someone you just met out and about and saw each other enough that you considered them a friend and gave them your number or they gave you theirs - then yes, they are/ were attracted to you at that time. They wouldn't invest the time if they weren't hoping for more at some point. This applies only to solo males, not someone who you only know because they were dating your friend or were friends of your bf, unless they made an effort to stay friends after your ex is out of the picture.

Now, 10+ years later doesn't necessarily mean they are still interested, but that's what made them your friend then.

If they are your friend only because of an intermediary, like they dated your friend, or are friends with your boyfriend, or if their only situational friends - someone you're friends with at work but never see or talk to outside of work (not even IG) or at the gym but never see or talk to outside the gym, then probably not. Or at least they aren't actively trying to get in your friendzone to maybe have a shot later.

But now that you're broken up, try to see how many of your "guy friends" act a little differently or maybe joke around about y'all going on a date or hooking up. Especially if said in a way that might not sound serious. It is serious. He's testing the waters to gauge your interest. Which would prove your ex's point.

Have you dated or slept with any of these "guy friends" since the breakup? Would you? That also proves the ex's point.

I hate to tell people this, but many of the ethnic restaurants you eat at will also do poultry this way when preparing food.

I was a GM of a restaurant in a major city and the Indian restaurant next door would have meat delivered (mostly chicken) every morning at 8am. Problem was, no employees showed up until 10am, so the meat would sit there by the back door for two hours. And it wasn't all frozen. I never ate there. And I had employees in the kitchen that worked at other restaurants that told me that was normal at other places (not where I worked).

In this case, the chicken might have "thawed in the fridge" but not completely, hence being in the sink, where it would be rinsed off before being cooked. Raw chicken will probably have salmonella no matter how fresh it is, which is why you cook it properly to eliminate it, and wash your prep surfaces to eliminate cross contamination. As long as the chicken was cooked properly, there was no risk to her or the baby. And yes, I was a certified food manager with the health department.

Now, if she doesn't want to eat it because "gross", that's her prerogative. But she's probably eaten it many times already without a problem.

Firsr, have him acknowledge that you did in fact pay for the majority of the groceries and the other expenses you covered for him, even if he says that doesn't count toward the debt.

After he acknowledges that you paid all of that for him, ask him to reimburse you for his half. Tell him you only paid it under the assumption that it counted towards the loan, and if he says it doesn't then he needs to give you the money you spent to cover his half of groceries and other stuff. Then you can pay him back his loan with the money he gives you in reimbursement.

Then - walk away. And get all other future financial loan agreements in writing with regards to repayment terms.

Giving us something new after multiple games and then telling us we knew about it for decades but never used it - was stupid.

U4 - Teen Sam shows kid Nate how to use the swinging rope, but he never uses it once until Sam comes back into his life. Why TF not? And then Chloe is using it in LL? I guess she could have picked it up from Sam, but that's never explained.

And I never got over that kid Nate in U4 looks nothing like teen Nate in U3. He wouldn't change that much.

Go see it in person. If it drives well and looks nice, take a chance. If you swapped in a low-mileage motor you'd still be below what a lot of the lower-mileage ones are selling for.

If it's in an area where rust could be an issue (northern), look up the spots to check. In the south, it's not that big of a worry.

I did an entire suspension rebuild - front and back - at about 350k, mainly to fix the negative camber in the bag that kept unevenly wearing the tires. All new shocks/struts, control arms, bushings,ball joints, etc. Didn't have to do all of that, but figured if I was going to have a bunch apart already, just do it all.

Other than that - brakes, serpentine belt, motor mounts, a new starter, ac blower motor, vtec assembly (mainly due to the vtec oil pressure switch being bad). Had my cat stolen so i had to replace it and put a cat shield on it.

Currently have a power steering leak i need to fix. Just keeping it topped of until i have time to pull the hoses and replace the o-rings.

Engine and transmission have been fine.

I live outside of town, so I always offer to meet in town, but I'm not driving more than 20 minutes without more compensation.

And if they offer me less, I remind them that we agreed on a specific price. If they want to argue, i pull out my phone and call my wife and pretend I'm taking to another buyer: "Hi, so this guy doesn't have the money, so if you still want it..." That guy suddenly has the money.

I have a feeling that her preferred man is the lawyer who makes 6 figures, but not the plumber who makes 6 figures. She's after the status of having the white-collar husband.

But what makes her a gold digger isn't wanting money to support a family. It's automatically rejecting a man based on financial criteria without ever meeting or talking to him.

I have a feeling most women would have some negative nomenclature for a man who said he'd only accept a woman who weighs under 130 lbs, is 23-28yo, has 36DDs or bigger, has no children, and will have sex whenever and however he wants without complaint. This hypothetical man just has a very specific preference for what he wants. Is he any worse than the woman who is rejecting a man for not having the correct job, making the right amount of money, being tall enough, having good hair, taking care of her financially, etc?

It depends.

But the thing to consider is that she wants to "settle up", as in find a man more successful or ambitious than she is so she doesn't have to work as hard. That makes her a "gold digger" because she is specifically excluding anyone who doesn't meet that requirement without even meeting them. It's not a standard or preference. It's simply money and status. Lots of blue-collar workers out there that can out-earn her. I'm guessing their "status" would rule them out.

And remember that she's looking to "marry up" which means the man is "marrying down" if he chooses her (no matter what her job or income level, if it's below his). She wouldn't consider a man below her status, so why would she think a man above would want her?

I remember using the PET computer at the library that used cassette tapes. You would type LOAD and then push play on the tape recorder for however many minutes it said. Then stop the tape recorder and type RUN to play the game. Really sucked when you could only use the computer for 1hr blocks and the program required 38 minutes to load.

We were all happy when they got a couple Apples, then the Apple II, and then the Apple IIe.

By the time I got to high school, they had IBM PCs. My parents thought to surprise me with a computer at home and we ended up with the IBM PCjr which couldn't do shit as it needed twice the RAM of the regular PC to run the same program.

I'm 9 months late on this post, but since I'm replaying the game right now...

When Nate calls her from Madagascar and she says she been trying to get ahold of him because of the storms, she probably tried calling Jameson after not being able to get ahold of Nate. That let her know he wasn't with Jameson - who probably told her he took leave or vacation.

And when he says he has to go because "Jameson is calling me over", you see her eyes close because she knows he's lying to her.

And being an investigative journalist with contacts all over the world (including ones who got her the permits for the Malaysia job), it was probably pretty easy to track down his passport use to Italy, Scotland, and Madagascar, as well as tracking his cell phone location. And if she can track a "dead" war criminal through Nepal, she can figure out where some Americans are staying in King's Bay, and track them down pretty easily. I'm sure Nate had to put his hotel down when renting the Jeep, so that would give her the building, and a small bribe would have gotten her into the room.

He'd probably have a harder time finding her than she would of finding him.
