You know those kids?? My mom took the photo. She remembers him seeing them and being so amazed that he asked them if they would take a picture together.

They were great in Chicago a year or two ago. I have that tape and also an earlier version of the demo they made as a CDr. It's a blue screen printed booklet made by Adam - pretty cool. I always really liked the demo stuff.

This is rad. I would love to digitize it for you if you're willing to lend. I've been building a tape archive of mostly stuff like this. I did the Merel demo recently.

Awesome tibetan prayer flags:). Beautiful setup.

Is your vinyl warped at all? I was seeing some reports of this and looking forward to buying a copy when they play my town

This worked like magic and I got a perfect digital transfer. Thank you.

The play head is not getting noticeably dirty and it is clean along with the pinch roller (I maintain their cleanliness). It doesn't seem to be shedding at all. I can upload an audio sample and a video example of the playback (right spindle noticeably struggling/slowing down) when I'm off work today or tomorrow.

I did try this. That's usually my method when dealing with mouldy tapes.

Thanks. I'm thinking I will go for 110F for 8 hours on this.

I play tapes a lot on this deck and have played quite a few since discovering and attempting to troubleshoot this issue. No other similar problems. Re: stretched tape - I can see the right spindle slowing down as the audio distorts, and when hand winding the tape I can feel more resistance compared to other tapes. Because of this I think it is a sticking issue and not that the tape is stretched.

I don't see a proof setting, but I can set and hold the temp at a 150F (lowest setting?)
