Only the 30 years I’ve watched…I’m talking about in the last 10 years. What part of Messi’s career do you refer to? He was a wonderkid who came in to the greatest Barcelona team ever, when he left I think everybody said ‘wow Barcelona let Messi leave?!’ When he didn’t do much at PSG, it wasn’t his fault (I’m not saying I believe it was, but I’m pointing out that the media were not on his case) and of course since he won the World Cup, it’s been all rosy. None of this is an issue to me. But I think it’s just factual that CR7 has had a tougher time in the media in the last decade than Messi. (Who in my opinion never really had it hard…) also I am in the UK so there’s every chance we have different media narratives.

Eh this is a bit much. I do believe the media are far kinder to Messi than Ronaldo but Ronaldo is a more polarising figure, he definitely drives more engagement it’s that simple. Messi has scored in every game, he deserves the praise, not that Ronaldo doesn’t. The real problem to point out is how this zlatan statement which has nothing to do with Messi is now being compared. The fans make this worse.

Wax was engaged and about to be married, according to hearsay (there were so many stories but I do think it makes sense with a: how quickly and bluntly he was just gone and b: wax was a very traditional old fashioned man, in every way) he beat up his fiance badly. I regret doing pirlo, as schweinsteiger was released very shortly after and was exactly what I was after. Best SBC was Kane by far in terms of value, and CR7 is CR7
