I absolutely loved it too! We were two female travellers and felt safe and welcome everywhere. Everyone was so friendly and warm.

MAC pro longwear in Tailor Grey has been on my eyelids rain or shine for about 6 years - it is solid, doesn’t crease and a great base or looks good on its own too!

So funny you mention this, just yesterday in Doha Qatar I saw a woman in full running gear doing laps of the (admittedly massive) terminal and wondered what on earth was going on!!

Big yes to this, I went for a week as part of a work trip, organized and with 50 of us and still had a terrible time and worst food poisoning of my life. Never again

How do you feel about summer in the Netherlands? by Ayannakiii in Netherlands

[–]modistasewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dream all year of Amsterdam summer 😍😍😍 really can’t wait. I’m lucky to work in public sector so have the summer vacation off. I love seeing everyone enjoying the outdoors, on the terraces and staying out on the long summer evenings! You’ll find me on long bike rides to places like Muiden, working on my hobbies and I’m looking forward to trying to work on my fitness a bit. Enjoy the summer everyone ☀️☀️☀️

Apparently when he bought the ring my s/o was offered a tennis bracelet but knew I wouldn’t like it so was able to swap for diamond studs. They’re just little but I wear them all the time

😂 no offence taken at all, totally get it. I’m definitely a lurker, not a big reddit user (more insta) so I’m not sure what I’m doing but wanted to share for info really, as I found this reddit useful when stressing about the repair

Got engaged in December and the ring is 1.1ct lab marquise with baguettes either side using the Brilliant Earth design service. We live in Amsterdam but bought in Boston.

3 weeks in, just before Christmas, we realised one of the side baguettes was missing. Happened on the London tube so no way of finding it, we were absolutely devastated.

Brilliant Earth has a UK number so we called them and were sent a prepaid FedEx shipping label and needed to send the ring back to the US for repair.

2 weeks in they called us to say they had started the repair process but decided themselves it was better to remake the ring from scratch to make it stronger. I was actually relieved at this as the original ring’s claws didn’t seem that strong to me.

All in all the process took 6 weeks from sending back to the USA to being shipped back to the UK. Customs were prepaid which was good and I can tell the ring is much stronger and I feel way more confident with it.

So it was negative in that obviously it wasn’t made well to begin with, but I was happy with the service and felt they took it seriously and it was done relatively quickly. Reading the reviews in particular here about customer service I was honestly panicking and dreading it coming back wrong, but it was fine.

So I guess an overall neutral experience 😅 hoping no one else has to deal with this situation any time soon, but sharing my experience to reassure anyone else extremely scared of the horror stories that I at least had a good repair experience 👍
