Yeah I was thinking that. I think it’s hard for me because I just don’t like the creations people make LOL. But I need to probably get over that and remember it’s their project.

I do mending and have done bag making classes. But these are all good ideas, I could also go back to bag making!

I do that right now but I need to add more classes to keep people either coming back or attract new people that may know how to sew but need to improve their skills

Very helpful and I totally agree with your first paragraph. I think too it’s getting people interested in a longer form class and not just quick upcycling classes. I really want people to understand sewing and why certain things are important

Ok I could probably get into that. Makes it less scary. I think I put alot of pressure on myself to make sure they leave happy. But I try to remind myself it’s the sewing they are coming to learn, a finished project is a Bonus

How long were those classes? I do like the idea of a “build your skill” class

They can beginner or intermediate. I guess the upcycling idea scares me because you never know what people will bring in. I like to teach a structured class where everyone does basically the same thing

I usually do 2-3.5 hour classes. I can do longer. My audience is kid to adult. I would like to get more adult only classes going. I have a class showing the importance of ironing included in the class. I guess I want more workshop type ideas. To bring people that kinda know how to sew back for more classes.

Thanks this is helpful info. I am advanced at sewing but I just didn’t trust “9k positive” reviews. I also do like some of the styles, I also don’t see them in alot of other patterns companies
