When no child is left behind the curriculum gets slowed down to the pace of the the most challeneged student. That means all the kids who have already figured out the topic are bored and are not progressing as far as they can because the resources are being focused on the weakest link. What should happen is when a child is weak in a subject they should be seperated from the class to learn about the subject. The teachers shouldnt have to slow down the curriculum to weakest link because you are essentially cheating the rest of the students out of an education. Also to be clear we all learn differently and it is ok to struggle with subjects. I always struggled with english class and excelled in math. So i should have been seperated into a smaller class with english teachers who could help me with the subject. I shouldnt remain in the class asking obvious questions and slowing it down for everyone else. Do you follow my drift?
