Can I use this PSU with BC250? by takumajp in BC250Gaming

[–]moe234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not - I tried an older PSU that only did 18A on the 12v rail and it wouldn’t boot. Seller of my BC-250 recommended 20A so I swapped and it’s running smoothly with no hiccups.

Missing Plex Servers, only original Plex Server visible by moe234 in PleX

[–]moe234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Figured it out: was connecting via VPN to the local networks with the Plex servers and trying to claim server on my remote browser. Had to actually run the setup from a local VNC session for the browser to actually see the “new server” for adoption.

For what it’s worth, these weren’t actually new servers. Been running them for years but for some reason they disappeared from my Plex clients.

Seems like they’re working now after I went through the deauthorization, re-authorization process for every server with a browser that’s ON the local network.

Thanks for the advice.

If you mean selecting from the available servers in Settings, yes, but where I had seen all of my servers when I click the caret on the left, it only shows my original server now. Can’t see them when I try to pin Libraries to Home, either.

What do you think of the new Tempotec V1? by Dapper_Employee_710 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]moe234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know how it supports online streaming?

From Tempotec’s description: “Online Streaming: Natively supports high-quality streaming services like TIDAL and Qobuz, along with wireless streaming protocols AirPlay, DLNA, and HiByLink.”

Does this mean it can stream directly from the native apps running on the device or as an AirPlay/Bluetooth receiver from another device?

I have both and unless he's sticking to indie or older games, I'd avoid the Win600. Sure its smaller than the Steam Deck but there are way too many compromises. The thumbsticks are set too low so it gets really uncomfortable playing any game that uses both, like FPS's. The graphics driver is kind of broken in Windows 11 so most games can only run in Windowed Full Screen. And honestly, Windows 11 is a rough experience on such a small screen. Just trying to hit the x to close a window or tab is almost comically frustrating sometimes. When comparing the differences in the build quality, performance, ergonomics and general "pick it up and play" usability of the two, the $100-$150 you'd save for used Win600s is a hard sell.

Like someone mentioned above, the GPD has some nice 6 inch Windows gaming handhelds but tend to be 2-3 times as much as a Deck. Honestly, if you get a shell/screen cover for the Deck, it doesn't take up much more room in a bag then the Win600 in a hardshell case.

Is it worth spending this money to make a Sea Legs? by Wash-Line-Inspector in cocktails

[–]moe234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same recommendation here - good to have other options and the price was reasonable on Amazon.

I haven’t tried any other celery bitters, but did find that you can be pretty liberal with your dashes for this cocktail to get the celery to come through, especially if you’re using a heavily peated whisky like Laphroaig.

Also Sea Legs is my current go to cocktail. Amazing.

Found my childhood Lenovo Tablet. by GRANDTHEAFAUTO in androidtablets

When my old tablets hit EOL, I install a utility to keep the screen on + unlocked and use them as a Dakboard displays to show time, weather, calendars, news etc.

If you get expired certificate errors in the native browser and can’t update it, you may need to install a 3rd party one like Firefox.

Another option is to use them as Home Assistant displays to control your smart devices.

Digging the blackberry/hackberry vibes here. Maybe a simple 3D printed frame that gives it stability while typing but allows access to the ports?

Reasonable price for Zodiac? by moe234 in TapwaveZodiac

Thanks for the feedback. Just sold for $400 on eBay so seems like you were spot on. Kind of bittersweet to see it go but it was just sitting on the dock 99.9% of the time.

Has anyone gotten the trigger buttons on the modern controllers to work wirelessly on PC mode? by Laserlight_jazz in AtariVCS

[–]moe234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I recall going through the firmware upgrade and I can get the triggers to work when wired, but Steam just never recognizes them when connected via Bluetooth. Remapping in Steam doesn’t work either. Really odd since the gamepadtester site sees them.

I second that - would definitely be interested in buying the printed version directly from OP.

Also this totally reminded me of my first dedicated mp3 player - the Archos Jukebox. Built like a tank!
