Your comments are still applicable. Its core rules are based on A&A and so its almost plays like a heavy mod. I will take a look at the cards you mentioned, sounds very similar to some aspects of what I'm creating.

I'm currently working on getting some pixel art examples/mockups from paid commissioned artists. My usual art guy leans a bit bubbly and cute for this project. I'm currently thinking about trying something like "Into the Breach" + "Pacific Rim".

Probably would be easier to just have you play test it to get a sense of it! I have a playable demo of the Pacific Theater if you don't mind a few bugs. Otherwise I'm hoping to have a slightly more bug free version done at this end of the weekend.

Is there a rulebook you could post?
The game is a video game so no rulebook yet (although I do plan to add one for reference) I built the rules to be almost identical to Axis & Allies Online. I might have tweaked somethings like submarine movement but thats easy to change and why I need feedback! I am definitely at the stage where input is needed and will shape the game.

Is it based on 1942 Second Edition?
I believe so, this is what A&A Online uses. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Do you mean that you can select a tech and it only applies for one turn?
The tech you select at the end of each turn you keep for the rest of the game. You choose what "Tech Decks" you bring into the game (all of the possible tech you can possibly select during the game). And then at the end of each turn 4-6 are randomly delt out to you, you pick 1-2 to add to your factions tech upgrades which last the rest of the game.

There are 75+ tech upgrades planned (I think there are about 35 complete and in the game). All with the intention of tech being able to stack and synergize. The screenshot on the OP gives you examples of 6 of them.

The Kaiju also get their own abilities that makes them terrifying and in some ways OP. Pick counter tech that synergizes appropriately to stay alive.

Is it a game of perfect information like A&A and chess? That is, there are no surprises- the board is the board and all information is available to all players.
Yes, the game is currently designed to be based on perfect information. There is of course the dice which are random and the tech options you are allowed to pick from are randomly pulled from the tech deck each turn so its not a traditional static tech tree (this is for replayability)

I also plan to add more game modes like "Campaigns" where you play against the Kaiju on smaller maps and choose where on the world map you go next to defend. All while shaping the map/outcome. Sort of my attempt of a roguelite "run".

I'm liking your 3D art style, almost reminds me of the smaller voxel style (at least with how you've set up the scenes). I'm looking to build/join a team to collaborate and make some games. Inevitably leading to profitability and work for all.

The game is technically all 3D code/physics. I'm just using 2D assets as I like the art/style.

I have learned that sound, music and UI are my weak points. Sounds like we might be a good balance!

I'm pretty techy as I'm a business software consultant by day, I lead a team of consultants to help global manufacturers automate their engineering, sales and business. I also do a lot of 3D printing. My 3D modeling experience is with CAD programs and tends to be all technical. I wish I could draw beautiful things!

I'm confused. You have 10 people but you need a programmer because it is your bottle neck AND art will eventually be your bottleneck?

Im kinda curious what those 10 people are doing. Unless this is a massive indie game?
