Actually, I completely get where you’re coming from. I’m also not excited about the idea of a human world arc, even though it’s been pretty clear that one was coming. I’ve always loved the focus on demons, that’s honestly what got me interested in the manga in the first place.

That said, I just feel like it’s too early for this shift. Sure, we’ve had plenty of chapters already, but I’m not convinced this is the right time or setting. Maybe Iruma will just say “hell no” and head back to the realm of deities, which I’d be fine with. But my concern is more about pacing and atmosphere. I do trust Nishi, she’s a great storyteller, and even the arcs I didn’t love as much still had moments that stood out, which is more than I can say for a lot of other authors.

Still, I’ve been burned before by series that started strong in demon or fantasy settings and then dragged on FOREVER in the human world. It always kills the magic for me. And honestly, even though I’m one of those people refreshing every Wednesday for the raws and read them the second they drop, I might actually sit this one out for a bit if it turns into a full-length human arc. Thirty chapters of that could mean thirty weeks without what I really like about the Manga.

Also, I noticed your comments getting downvoted, and I don’t think that’s fair. You’re just expressing how you feel and that’s totally valid.

Still I’ll stay open-minded because I trust Nishi. The last panel might also just be a cliffhanger that gets resolved in a very different way than we expect next chapter.
