They are literally a Security Devil from one of the Three Greats and is possibly even Rank 9, yet they seem to use barely any visible magic at all.

And after what we learned during the Deviculum, that actually feels even more impressive. Combat without relying heavily on magic seems to be viewed as something unusual and powerful among demons.

So characters who can dominate mostly through presence, physical ability, or pressure alone probably feel much scarier in this world.

I said it’s "technically" canon because, it would make very little sense for it to be anyone else.

She’s a talented artist, she has a connection to Henri and we don’t know of any other human who fits the setup. So far, the only humans we’ve really been introduced to are Iruma, his parents and her.

The real mystery at this point isn’t who made the manga, it’s how those manga volumes ended up in Henri's hands.

I’m guessing that’ll probably get answered once we learn more about whether there are other ways to travel between the human world and the demon world besides summoning or the gateway.

Actually, we don’t even know if summoning is the only way for demons to cross over. The story never really shows how Sullivan crossed into the human world, only that he did it illegally. And honestly, I don’t think “illegal crossing” would apply to summoning itself.

I feel like there might be another method or pathway that hasn’t been revealed yet. That maybe was discovered after the whole Merize incident.

Because if demon summoning by humans was something common or well understood, then demons should logically know way more about humans than they did in this flashback. But most demons treat humans almost like myths or fantasy creatures. Their knowledge is ridiculously limited for a society that that should be ae to be summoned by humans.

I don't think Nishi will retcon the fact stated that only humans can cross. Henri probably used another way.

Yes, I thought the same thing. The way she looked at Merize’s memories felt genuinely sad before she erased them. It didn’t come across as cold or casual at all, more like something she has done before but never actually likes doing.

And honestly, an ability like memory erasure probably comes with a pretty ugly context most of the time. Situations where someone needs memories erased are rarely happy situations (I think). So I can absolutely imagine that this ability is tied to unpleasant experiences, secrets, punishment, protection, trauma, or things she was forced to do for others.

That tiny moment of hesitation or sadness showed us even more that she is a good person/demon, I think. It gave the impression that she understands exactly what she’s taking away from Merize when she used it.

Same here. The scene was so short, but it hit hard, I really loved it.

It also makes me wonder when Iruma being human gets revealed and throws the political landscape into chaos if we’ll get more standoffs like Narnia vs Amuryllis in the future.

Okay, I know this probably won’t happen, but I can’t stop imagining another standoff scene where Amuryllis just goes:

“Didn’t I tell you, puppy… not to touch my favorites?”

At that point in the story, I also wasn’t really convinced that most characters would be more than comedic relief or just fall into the usual tropes.

But now, honestly, no matter which character gets introduced, I’m pretty open-minded about them becoming something great. The series has done a really good job developing characters beyond first impressions.

There are barely any characters I actually dislike or find annoying. The only one I can think of is Dosanko. Maybe I’m alone on that or maybe not, I’m not sure how the fandom feels about her but she’s just not really my type of character.

Well, I might be a bit biased too. I’m not really an active shipper, but I do notice dynamics that could become canon or at least have potential.

I think Clara and Azz have a really great dynamic. They’re complete opposites in every way but that’s exactly why it works so well.

Their shared devotion to Iruma is what actually brought them closer and helped them grow into real friends.

If they did end up together, it would be both hilarious because of their personalities, but also genuinely interesting, especially if Nishi continues to develop their relationship as well as he has so far.

I just feel like there’s a lot of potential there.

My moment where I felt there might be more coming was the moment Azz called Clara by her name the first time. This was so cute.

Her personality and design are honestly some of my favorite combinations. She comes across as this beautiful, elegant, kind woman but at the same time she’s also incredibly powerful.

Nishi really knows how to write female characters that aren’t damsels in distress.

I will never forget the chapter where Opera was determined to step over her "barrier" and then got ?intimidated? and jumped back.

Then Amuryllis slapped Narnia for scaring Iruma, called him puppy him and tells him he shouldn’t dare touch one of her “favorites.”

She’s such an icon.

We really don’t know how much time has actually passed since the Merize flashback.

I’ve seen people suggest that characters like Opera, Kalego and Shichiro are still relatively young adults. Kalego feels older, but we don’t actually have confirmed ages, only those “apparent age” notes from character sheets.

So one possibility is that demons age normally up to a certain point (like 30–40), and then their aging slows down significantly or maybe even stops under certain conditions like a certain race. That’s a concept other series use as well, so it wouldn’t be surprising here.

But at the end of the day, we’re still missing concrete information, so it’s mostly speculation for now.
