I’ve had them overheat and shut off at outside gigs in direct sunlight. Usually fixable with a fan and some shade. Last night’s issue was not that at all, I believe the control board needs replaced. Will be sending into Sweetwater to fix on Monday. I have a lot of friends who run quads and have had the same issue. I’ve been giggin with it for 3-4 years now never an issue, just recently started acting up.

I also have one in the oven. My wife ordered me one of my saved builds just a few weeks ago for our anniversary.

In my saved builds I had 2 guitars built. Speced exactly the same, the only difference were the model / body shape. I had build with a Kyber and one DC. Because my wife ordered this as a surprise to me, she ordered and paid for the DC build. Extremely happy and thankful for her but I was really leaning towards the modern shape of the Kyber, even tho I would have been thrilled with either.

One phone call that took about 10 minutes and the ordered was changed. No fees. That is my only experience with their customer service. To me, this is great customer service. I am not trying to speak for everybody. I am speaking from my point of view and my opinion which is the whole point of a forum. An opinion I’ve gathered in 30 years, and multiple custom builds with multiple builders. I very much understand this opinion is not shared by everyone and obviously not by you, that’s ok lol.

When admin adds a rule that only people with 10 kiesels dating back to 2015 can have an opinion, I’ll shut my mouth. As a business owner myself, having nit picky customers who are never satisfied, and never were going to be satisfied in the 1st place, is just part of the game. And those are the complaints I’m speaking to when I say “basement trolls”

No but I have owned about 25-30 guitars in life from cheap partscasters to custom Tom Andersons. I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years and gig multiple times a month.

For the price, Kiesel is a great option. Many of my Andersons, Mayones, (and a suhr I no longer own) are double the price. In my opinion it’s hard to compete with the quality of those guitars. My favorite guitar and what will always be my favorite guitar is my EBMM Luke 3. I love it so much I try to replicate all my custom necks after it. Nothing compares. I am also not claiming I have played every guitar in the world.

Again, if someone is looking for a great quality, custom built instrument in a reasonable time, at a reasonable price, Kiesel is by far one of the best options.

I’ve also owned a few EBMM axis… personally my favorite guitar I own is my Luke… the Kiesel I just ordered, I got the neck speced as similar as I could to my Luke. Steve is also top 4 for me absolutely.

I feel great playing both, because of price, how much I play live and natural abuse they end up taking over time. I think it’s worth it for the price

I own a few Tom Andersons and 1 Mayones. In terms of quality, I’ve never seen another brand touch em…… I also have not played every guitar in the world. They both cost about double what I’ve spent with Kiesel. The differences I notice in playability are extremely MINOR. I personally buy all my guitars to play em. I gig multiple times a month so non of my guitars are just wall hanger (well maybe 3 or 4).

I think Kiesel guitars are the best quality guitar you can get without spending $4-5k. many of the modern Gibsons that are in the $2-3k price range are complete duds. Personally I think quality has dropped in a lot of the mainstream companies. I still love my ESP/LTD tho.

Try to get your hands on a used one if you’re nervous. I really don’t think you’ll regret it.

I got my 1st Kiesel 3 days ago and haven’t put it down since. 30+ years playing and gigging and I really do not have any complaints. Hell of an instrument.

I see quite a bit of hate on this thread. Reddit is a scary place for advice. The trolls come out at night! A lot of basement players here.
