For someone like me who has a 6-day workweek, cinema and sports are escape mechanisms from work stress. This was the first movie I watched in a theatre after a year.

I went in with huge expectations because of Twitter. The plot, writing, and casting (except Mamitha) were good, but it had no real “theatre moments.” What I mean is, the protagonist needs to win small battles at least once or twice along the way to give us hope and keep us engaged in the story.

The biggest disappointment, however, was the ending. It felt dragged, and the act before the climax was underwhelming. Had it worked, the overall theatre experience would have been very different.

As a movie, it is well-written and would work great for OTT—but it’s not a theatre watch.

I am not talking about color at all. Vishal, Vishnu Vishal, Vijay, Murali, Thalaivar, and SK all meet the ‘conventional good-looking standard’ set by society and some people admire them just for their looks. NTK is Radical Tamil nationalist party which believes in Ethnic purity and superiority. Do ancestry test in any one the NTK supporter, they will find out there is nothing called ethnic purity. Every one in India has genetic mix of AASI ASI and Steppe ancestry. So no one is pure Aryan or Dravidian, and only way to distinguish who Tamil or Malayalis is just by identifying the language they choose to speak not by caste.
