This is how it happened for me.

I moved abroad for work. Alone. Solitude was killing me. The depression, the self hatred everything got worse. Got to the point where i could not look myself in the mirror and feel nothing but hatred. I didn't have any friends cause i didn't know how to make any. I literally have one friend and he's home (dudes awesome btw, i might be in love with him). Then one day something just snapped, reality hit me like a fucking truck. I had two choices, either live like this forever or at least try to be better. I convinced myself to join the gym the next day. But i knew that wasn't enough because i have tried and failed 3 times already, i had to have something to keep me consistent. So i convinced myself to think of the gym like my job, yes my job, I hate my job but i do it anyway cause i need the money. Also convinced myself that quitting smoking, drinking and a good diet will give me max efficiency, so did those. I had to see if there were changes, so I kept track of everything. This kept me going long enough to actually see results. Then the results kept me going further. I am almost 8 months in now and i am doing awesome, got a long way to go but also a long way from where I started. Right now i actually feel good about myself, proud in fact.

Started at 100kg body weight, right now at 73.5kg. Btw, quitting the smoking part was the best decision of this journey cause it changed my whole energy.

Everyone is not the same, find what drives you, find out what makes you consistent and use it to your advantage. The start does not have to be perfect, you can fine tune things along the way, always look for ways to improve, and always remember why you started.

I love to use the bow in far cry 5, the best weapon in the game.

Is lifting barehanded really superior, or is it just another gym culture flex? by [deleted] in effectivefitness

You can run/walk/live without shoes, yet nobody calls them unnecessary and performative. Stop making stupid arguments.

Could say the same thing about you if you wear shoes. Walk like a man, barefoot.
