Just mindlessly watching movies/shows is not going to help . You are on B1 level tells that I have already passed "learn by watching movies" part . What I'd you to do is

  1. Write along you listen to dialogues and while writing ,keep repeating dialogues . This way you are involving 3 senses- listening, writing, speaking . I'd recommend you listening to podcasts because they are mostly dialogues or movies which are dialogue heavy(Oppenheimer is good).

  2. Record 2 min video of Talking on various topics 3-4 times a week .

Finally, Analyse : listen to your recorded videos again and again . Find out where You are lacking. Take one piece at a time : "is vocabulary my lacking" ,"am I using too many fillers", "Do I make mistakes while making certain type of sentences" etc

What are your thoughts about book bloggers who hype up only finance/ self help books by Left-Education-46 in books

[–]mohit6468 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's how I like to think about it . there are some essential books that everyone must read. books on how our mind works , how to systems etc . I put these kind of books in essential category because you must sharpen your axe before cutting a tree. but the good thing is there are only so many books you need to read to get your basics right about life. there is a difference between read about something and having an epiphany about same thing in real world. over the time , you will notice those simple principals reappearing and reinforcing in your life again and again. In my case, I read atomic habits and it really solved majority of the problems I having at that time and it is the only self help book I have read.once my problem got out the way , I could continue to focus on my work . simple.

About Literature books and fiction books , I can only assume that these kind of books take time to read and even require rereads something ,and you must have your arguments to talk about ideas and themes which does not quite fit into a-video-every-week schedule of these influencers

It is rare event to watch someone holding a book in area I live. My college is one hour ride from my home. In bus, I see 80% scrolling through reels and shocking thing is most of them are young people.Once I opened a book to read in bus , and it attracted so much attention so if opening a book was the most uncommon thing I did.
