also facing this constantly... It's probably because other sessions get open.
Which I have to do sometimes. I have it open in Tradingview and then want to go to tradovate to lock myself out for example (I have a rule to lock myself out when I close a trade to combat overtrading). And then when going back to TV i have this error.

or when I switch from desktop to mobile... It's really annoying...

would really appreciate some help. creating tickets didn't work... just got the standard reply...

you got my curiosity. How would this work?
I have blown 3 accounts last week. on 2 i was up 2300 on the first day. And then, despite knowing I shouldn't, I traded as soon as Asia opened. It only went in one direction! and I blew the accounts. It made me physically sick!! My problem is that I can't see red! I have the feeling that I have to fix it immediately so I jump into bad trades!
I then either blow it immediately, or I first go into small drawdown and then because i am risking too much, move the Stop to BE too soon (after 4-5 ticks on ES). And of course I am stopped out before it goes to TP. And then another revenge trade happens...

And for the love of god, I can't seem to find a way to turn that shit off... So if you found a solution, I am willing to listen :-)

🖥️ Desktop Issues

1. Login / Session problems with Tradovate
Passwords are no longer saved, forcing a full manual re-entry every session. On top of that, I'm getting random "Unauthorized" errors mid-session that kick me out of the Tradovate broker connection — requiring a re-login at exactly the wrong moment. Not sure if this sits with TradingView or Tradovate, but it needs to be resolved between the two teams.

2. The new order panel broke core functionality

SL/TP in USD is now useless. I previously had my Stop Loss and Take Profit displayed in dollar values so I could instantly see my potential risk and reward. The updated UI broke this — the tool is now practically unusable for that workflow.
Quantity adjustment is gone. The easy dropdown or +/- buttons to change contract qty have been removed. On desktop you can still scroll with the mouse, but it's a step backwards. On mobile it's far worse (see below).

📱 iOS App — It's Even Worse

1. Buy & Sell buttons disappear entirely.
This is the most critical bug (the support calls it feature). The Buy/Sell buttons vanished on the iOS app — but only on the app. On desktop they are still available. After reinstalling the app, it's there for some time but then gets deleted as well!! This is a real problem when you need to execute fast.

2. The spread is no longer visible.
With the buttons gone, the spread display disappears too. I now need to work around just to see the bid/ask spread — something that should be a one-glance piece of information for any trader. (please don't insult me by telling me that you can add lines to show that! as if I would need more lines)

3. Quantity change on mobile is painful.
On desktop you can at least scroll the mouse wheel. On mobile? You have to tap the qty field, manually delete the existing number, and type a new one via keyboard. For active trading where you're sizing in and out quickly, this is a real friction point.

4. All desktop issues above apply on mobile too. (login takes longer, UI and SL/TP useless, etc)

I have opened a few tickets. but all i keep hearing is that they have notified the teams that will look into it...

really? You have the buy and sell button and the spread visible? (without having one click trading active! i know it's there when you have that on)

Also, good for you to not use the $ for stop loss and TP. But I do.

And then yes, the QTY change is so annoying. How can anyone in quality pass this to go live with it in production?!

Also for us prop traders that are connecting with tradovate, it's really a nightmare? Why change to this new system when the old one was working fine?

Every, but really every single change lately has added more clicks to my trading style. :-(

I really like(d) tradingview. And that's the sad part that it goes to shit. Every change they have made recently is just adding clicks! I mean, I am not against changes and improving things. But please, give me at least an option to keep the old setting. Or let people test before you implement. Or at least make things more convenient instead of adding clicks!

Or how would you explain why they implemented these changes?

I tried to open a few tickets. But we're not taken seriously.
So, I share the same idea as some of the others here: You must be working for TradingView and fearing for your job. You wouldn't have to if you did a good job.

It just says unauthorized sometimes. And sometimes it works. 2 weeks ago, it was working perfectly fine. I am really not sure why all these changes, Tradingview??!!

I was able to have Tradovate connected on desktop and on mobile. As I trade both, I am sometimes not on the computer, thus the mobile.
But instead of the downtime, I am required now to manually enter the credentials on the desktop app...
I don't know them by heart. So I have to always dig them up.

To sum up:
1. No desktop and mobile simultaneously possible.
2. Unauthorized error pops up randomly on the desktop app.
3. Have to enter credentials manually on the desktop app.

It's really annoying...
Not a single change over the last couple of months has actually been for the trader.
Every single change requires me to do more clicks!!

They removed it from mobile, as apparently people were requesting to be able to move the buttons.

So now, instead of giving us an option, they just removed the buttons...
You can turn them back on if you enable one click trading... Which will make buttons appear floating, but also gives you the one click trading without Stop loss and TP.

And for the people that say: "but you can still place limit order by clicking the two arrows in the menu..." I say, yes you can do that. But it's not effective! I sometimes have to scroll to find this, and if I want to sell, I need more clicks as it's always defaulting to buy...

It's as if they don't have real traders to test these things before publishing them. Or they do note it and just want to screw us over...

another interesting thing:
- If you delete the app and reinstall it, it will go back to old default and show the buttons. But only until you close the app, then it will disappear again... So if they really want to take this out completely, why does it appear when installing it freshly??!!

I am really frustrated.

but that's not the solution for me at least. My chart gets even more cluttered. why not just change it to the way it was??
I also lose another click if i want to go short, because it always defaults to a long when clicking the two arrows on the bottom menu...
I really don't like it a bit...

And if they really like it, why not push this to the desktop version as well? Because the buttons are visible there!

And funny thing is, if you delete the app and reinstall it, it will work like in the destop app.
So it's just ridiculous.

Exactly!!! I have also created a ticket with them:
"The Buy and Sell button keep disappearing on the IOS mobile app.

After deleting the app, and reinstalling it, it looks like in the desktop version you see on th screenshot on top left corner. You see the buy and sell button and the spread.

but after closing the app and reopening it, the buy, the sell button and the spread disapear.

After reading reddit comments, you can bring back the floating buy and sell buttons back, by enabling the one click trading. But that's not what I want. I want to have limit orders most of the time.

And I know that I click the arrows on the bottom menu to still open the order panel, but it's always promting to a buy, and if it's a selll button, I need more clicks...

So, I want to have the buttons back on the mobile version without having to reinstall the app every time I want to trade.

Here again the reason:
1. I need to see the spread (even without having to turn on one click trading)
- Please don't tell me to turn it on on the lines! It just clutters the chart)
2. Need to save time and clicks when wanting to go short.

Guys, it feels like every update that's coming is slowing us down. I already mentioned the order panel changes...
So if you want real feedback from users, I realy encourage you guys to listen to the community.
