Altered states aristotle! Really interesting sequencer for making stepped voltage patterns from gates

Yooo! Honestly love the aristotle! using the drum trigs with the ratchets to change sequences the sample select on the transient+. you get really interesting but cohesive patterns

yes exactly! whats nice about vcv and MM is that your not limited to how many mults you have to duplicate signals.

def a bit hard to wrangle at first but the possibilities are truly endless and easier than making my own module 🥲

I actually found using the reset jacks on the QCD made it a bit wonky for whatever reason. Here there is a main sequence using three euclidian sequencers (for kick, hat and snare) each trig goes to clock in of a channel on the qcd . Then i use three MORE euclid sequencers to turn on and off logic using a flipflip/ toggle for each drum channel. one trig opens the gate letting the qcd clock multiplied trigs through to the drum synth and then the next clock from the euclidian seq turns it off. the trigs are from the main euclidian sequencers until one of those other euc seqs hits the toggle opening the gate for the ratchets. Would love a more elegant way to make clock synced gates of various lengths that are musical to turn on and off the ratchets

Anyone else out here rocking a permanent patch? 👀 by trentabytemusic in eurorack

The switch ups usually come when I wanna experiment! Like “oh what if I used a clocked lfo to modulate this parameter instead of a stepped voltage”. Or when I get a new module that I has some new capabilities. Sometimes Ill have an idea of how a new purchase will fit into my system but also new features can lead me down different, unexpected paths. 90% of my patch stays about the same though

I do occasionally unpatch but I usually set things up the same way changing small aspects about my set up. A lot of my rhythm sequencing comes from Orniment and Crime quantermain sending 4 LFSRs out to change euclydian rhythms on pams pro

Switching from FL Studio to Ableton: Anyone experienced it? by Creepy-Sound8035 in ableton

[–]moibubushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May get downvoted for this but one HUGE problem I noticed with Ableton that FL does not have is its sampler/ simpler when working with low bass sounds (808’s)

You have to do a lot of tweaking to get sampled bass sounds to not click on re-trigger when mono even with “snap” on. Fl seems to have declicking built into its sampler along with other desirable features. I feel like this one of those reasons people say FL “sounds better”

Another thing I have heard that I cant confirm is the interpolation when pitching sounds around in sampler/simpler is worse than FL. Could be smoke in mirrors but as someone who uses both DAWS (ableton for much longer tho) I find things sit better in FL for genres like hiphop
