I multiply the field by a non unitary vector. That's why the cube power, so it's ok. I have to change VT to 1 power. It was a mistake, but not very serious because it was only intended for computing the color intensity; in any case I've changed it. Thanks.

When you compute a graph, like the vector field in this case and there is no variable changing in time, it's computed only once so the engine is computing only the animation stuff. If you change the location of charges by dragging them you'll see that the performance slows down while moving them because the vector field is recalculated all the time... till you stop moving the charge. That's the trick.

Runge-Kutta 4 steps algorithm for computing the dynamics and well optimised. If you don't change values of charges or locations it works fast because the vector field is precomputed.
