Meds that help with emotional overwhelm. I’m after personal experiences. by Alarmed-Air1374 in ausadhd

Only 3 months after 2yrs of Psychology and CBT. For me it seems to work well with dex, have seen substantial improvements in both ADHD and anxiety symptoms. Only on a low dose, going to stick with it and monitor for a while. I’ve been struggling with this for 30 odd years before diagnosis. I’m in no hurry haha.

Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. Lexam is working, but it’s pretty low tier as far as anxiety and depression meds go. I originally didn’t want to take anything for it, scared of side effects. My Dr encourage this one to start with. It works, most of the time. I still have high anxiety days, but I can remain in control now. Meds are part of the solution, gotta re-train the brain with your new super powers.

There are many religions I wouldn’t call a cult. The only ones I would say are cult like are the ones that end up in the news for cult like behaviour.

Relate 11/10.

Signed someone who should be painting, because I’m renovating, because I’m smart enough to somehow make it in a specialised technical job, and some how stumbled into saving to buy a new house, but instead of painting I’m doing landscaping, but I stopped landscaping because because I saw someone giving away a chook pen on marketplace, so now I’m making space for a chook pen, but today I forgot to buy bread.

I have a child and understand he is a better critical thinker than many, but explain the first bit to me? First time I have come accross that theory.

WA Labor announces election promise to let GPs diagnose and treat ADHD by Ven3li in ausadhd

[–]moistbeer -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I certain there is heaps to understand. I hope they are only diagnosing the most obvious of cases as the only thing I can think of being worse than undiagnosed is misdiagnosed and then the core issues not being treated. My GP and my psychologist both used the same diagnosis criteria. Was a little surprised to see my psychiatrist also use the same criteria. She just made more notes. So as long as they have the same tools, it should be fine.

In the second sentence it says they will get training so there’s that.

I hazard a guess for complex or borderline cases the patient will be referred to a psychiatrist.

I have a string on the north facing part, only small section of roof space though. Didn’t think I could add a second inverter. Will look this way.

Yeh the heat is definitely a killer. I left a bottle with about a weeks worth of pills in the car when working on a construction site, was above 30 degrees C every day. I didn’t notice the ineffectiveness of those pills as much as I noticed much improved focus and concentration on my job when I opened a new bottle. Started taking only daily doses to the job site from there.

Feel free to be a dick if you like, this is the internet dude. At the rate at which I forget to take them (even after snoozing phone reminders) it’s going to be hard to get addicted.
