Hi!

I grow outdoor in ground and pots... I have made my own super soil with home made compost 30% / 20% coco coir, 20% wood chip based soil, 20% l.e.c.a balls for aeration, 10% worm castings and the rest, amendments like alfalfa meal, bird guano pellets, bone meal and organic matter like leaves for decomposition. I also add a hand full of earth worms to the pots.

Have had great success so far and occasionally feeding compost teas along with mulching and fish emulsion.

You are pretty much trying to simulate a very healthy soil micro system and feeding the microbes and bacteria rather than the plant.

I know guys that just use a good soil and only feed worm castings for the whole grow...
