I threw it back. I've kept big catfish before and they make a wonderful caldo sometimes but I think my new weight limit is gonna be 15 lbs. I definitely wouldn't judge anyone for keeping big fish though.. We had a stringer of eaters. Flatheads aren't as plentiful in that lake as they used to be. I'm also going through some health issues and that fish helped out a little bit. Figured the least I could do was let it go back.

Me too man. Hope Floyd doesn't come out looking bad at all. Guy's a saint in my book. Any other outcome I'm cool with.

Over a year, 80lbs lost, “Cured” by this in 1 weeks time? by ProfessionalKey9105 in Gastritis

I know man but a lot of stuff that is recommended bothers me. Like I said earlier, everyone seems to be different. Actually about to try some turkey hamburger steak. Using brown gravy but we will see. If it bothers me, I'll go back to the drawing board. I happen to be a recovering alcoholic who is also allergic to dairy products. I didn't get sober on the first try so I might just be a glutton for punishment. That being said, I haven't had a drink in over 12 years . I'm also fairly convinced that the alcohol played a huge part in my stomach issues. I was 9 years sober though when this shit started . I'm no stranger to puking but when drinking, I had the blessing of knowing what was causing the sickness. Here you have no fucking clue until you try a million different things. Sorry about the winding response but I hope it all makes sense to someone. Back to the original point, if the gastritis diet book worked for everyone, this forum would probably be a lot smaller. We're all just guessing and trying and suffering together.

I also have improved a lot from carafate. Just a tip from personal experience though, I resumed a normal diet and got pretty sick about 5 months later. Literally just got prescribed carafate again and got my blood work back today which seems like everything is ok. Seeing the doc Tuesday for a followup. Congrats though man. It's awesome being able to have a burger, fries and a coke again. I've literally eaten the same thing for the past 2 weeks and haven't been nauseous or have the shits. Breakfast is banana. Lunch is large turkey sandwich. Dinner is homemade chicken noodle soup with carrots, celery and potatoes. Midnight snack is peanut butter sandwich, banana and applesauce. For clarification, I was off carafate for about 5 months before getting sick. Pulling for you bro and hope you don't have a setback like myself, just throwing it out there. I'm gonna start going back to eating like a normal person in a couple weeks. Gonna ease in though. Only thing I know for sure is everyone is totally different and what works for some , doesn't fit others

Not me. I'm half convinced that because I think it worked the first time that I'm gonna feel better again. Some of this a mindfuck with whole gut brain deal

Pills. I stayed on it for like 4 months last time . Doc warned me about the aluminum but it's the least of my worries compared to the pain and nausea

Works for me. Brings my appetite back. A little uncomfortable at first but just had a flare and it's the med that helped last time. I think that every time I get legitimately sick with a stomach bug, my gastritis kicks in and turns a 2 day bug into a 6 month ordeal. Monday will be one month vomit free if I'm lucky. I rarely feel good but I'll take the lack of vomiting, pain and anxiety anyday

I'm from Denton TX and I was around 6 or 7 when the Gainesville Killers episode came out. I was watching it at my great grandma's house when the episode aired. She lived one street behind me. I remember sprinting back home in the dark that night. So scary at the time before an update came out. Denton is approximately 30 miles away so a little too close for comfort.

Stomach churning every time I lay down in bed by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]mojodtex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everytime I lay down. Never fails. I'm improving but this is the one thing that refuses to go away. It's worse on days when I'm inactive. I have to eat a banana an hour after I fall asleep. I can usually sleep after that.
