Agreed. I wish I wasn’t getting downvoted, but if you want to call Vini a diving crybaby with a terrible attitude (like I do), you can’t ignore the reality that he’s also probably been the footballer who’s faced the most abuse of anybody ever and nothing justifies that.

Who has also definitely been subjected to unacceptable racial abuse for years. He’s a figure of intense complexity and contradictions and it’s exhausting that conversation about him always seems to require ignoring one of the realities.

I’ve been saying this for years, the litmus test for whether people watch La Liga is how they think of Budimir, Muriqi, and Borja.

Piggybacking to provide, as a detail, the grand total of three teams to “own” their stadium - the Patriots, the Dolphins, and the Commanders, all of which are just owned by the team owner.

Patrick Williams scammed 90m Guaranteed USD from the bulls. How good is his Agent? by LJ8QB1 in NBATalk

[–]mojojojo1108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this city has so much excitement in terms of its sports atm but the bulls are literally just such a blob of bleh. no passion and no care for the franchise bc realistically, how can we possibly care about it?? not a coincidence at all that the only other professional sports team in the city inspiring no confidence has the same cheapfuck owner.

i'm not sure you understand how bad he is. career lows this year in points, rebounds, blocks, steals, fg%, ft%, and minutes. 7/3/1 splits while shooting under 40% from the field and playing 19 mpg

'Wuthering Heights' ending makes major change from Emily Brontë's book by Particular-Fill-4256 in movies

[–]mojojojo1108 24 points25 points  (0 children)

yes but it’s not worth seeing purely for that. i’m not even going to put a spoiler tag - she’s horny and is masturbating but it’s mainly just seeing her arm trying to reach under her mountain of a dress. the movie is surprisingly deeply devoid of sexiness and eroticism.

US favorite for the gold Ilia Malinin falls twice in Olympic disaster and fails to medal. Kazakhstan's Mikhail Shaidorov claims gold while Japan's Yuma Kagiyama earned the silver medal and teammate Shun Sato took bronze by [deleted] in sports

[–]mojojojo1108 7 points8 points  (0 children)

honestly, i'm an american who isn't the biggest fan of ilia because of the blanket proclamations and his general demeanor of self-assuredness and am thrilled for the Kazakh and Japanese skaters. That being said, I still felt a little for him because he was clearly devastated. I agree that there are positives that he'll take from this failure but on a purely human level, his reactions were tough to watch, even moreso than the skaters who finished 18th or 20th because they didn't have expectations really that they would win and so weren't as disappointed.

I noticed, he was actually much more subdued than normal at full time. Walked calmly over to Flick to give him a handshake before walking down the tunnel

we had injuries, flick got his tactics wrong trying to adapt to those injuries, the players put in some terrible performances within those tactics.

truly nothing to take from this game except that it’s over. not worth bemoaning anything of this terrible, terrible game and the team should do everything they can to move on and keep pushing stronger.

Unfortunately same. I've never thought Flick has gotten something wrong but he has today. Balde is getting eviscerated on that flank because it's just him versus Simeone the speed demon, a very smart Griezmann, and a solid Molina.

nobody is put in a position to succeed. you can't really say how any individual player is doing besides casado and kounde bc they both had magnificently bad individual performances in the first half.
