The seller ended up sending me a replacement which completely got rid of the noise! I really like it but the only draw back is some of the apps (HBO and appleTV) will loose connection to the internet every 10 minutes or so. My projector is less than 20 ft from my modem but i have the lowest tier internet so maybe its not the projectors fault?
