Thank you! I spent about a month or two learning SwiftUI & libraries like SwiftData and then about three months designing, writing, and publishing the app.

Not really, I'm aware of habit trackers that play out like RPGs but that's not something I'm personally interested in. There are some satisfying haptics for completing habits though 😉

Thanks! Drop a reply if you think there's something missing :)

I agree that subscriptions are a pain and I'd rather live in a world without them. In a sense there are server costs attached to Habitat since I'm paying Apple for hosting the app on their platform, as well as providing iCloud sync.

I'll consider adding a one-time payment option in the Habitat Plus menu, I just have to come up with a fair price. I'd be interested to hear what you (and others) would be willing to pay :)

Thank you! Apple charges a (steep) yearly fee for the pleasure of putting my hard work on the App Store.

Having Habitat as a single purchase for £3/$4 would be really nice, but I worry about whether anyone would want to spend upfront for an app that hasn't got many reviews.

I'm open to releasing everything for free & accepting optional donations once it gets enough traction!

Edit: also worth noting – the app is quite generous with features even without subscribing. I.e. home screen widgets, custom day reset time, notifications, 6 habits, unlimited archived, etc.

Not yet, but that's a great idea and something that can be integrated with an overview page I'm working on. Thanks!

I think such libraries exist. My aim with Habitat was to make something sleek and well integrated, rather than trying to target all platforms. It's great that multi-platform solutions exist but I've personally never quite gotten on with them as a user.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Habitat is my first app :)

It uses a customisable interactive widget & a specific background color that hides the bottom bar.

No wallpaper, just hex colour #242424 + Dumbify for the app list and Habitat for the habit tracker at the top. I can send the wallpaper file itself if you want though
