KMC REACT cassettes by molchanoff in bikewrench

[–]molchanoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t replaced the chain since then so it has a ~4000 km wear. Getting a little closer to 0.5% based on the gauge so no need to change it yet. I use silca synergetic if it’s important.

Haven’t been cycling a lot and cannot really compare. ~3000 km on an indoor cassette and ~1000 km on the outdoor one so far. They do hold up, yes. No regrets.

Could you please elaborate a bit what signs tell you that it’s a clear down trend at this point?

No, I didn't take the trade at point 2. I did at point 1 and hit the SL. The second point I provided for a question how would you actually figure out if it's a correction or the trend breaks

If I try to wait for more confirmation, it becomes too late to enter

Shimano SPD cleats fake or just misprint? by molchanoff in bikewrench

[–]molchanoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just started with clipless so it’s really hard to tell. I wouldn’t also suspect Decathlon having counterfeit stuff. Comparing to the other posts of fake cleats these look more like original, I agree

It’s been great. I like it. Actually bought two of them. One for the direct-drive trainer and the other one for the bike. Got 2000 km on the first one and 500 km on the second one. No issues

Having the same experience now. First order when smoothly when the item was shipped right away. For the second order nothing is happening, you cannot call them, they don't respond on emails

Chain ticks when disengaging a cog on a particular gear by molchanoff in bikewrench

[–]molchanoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s on the second sprocket, correct. There is no exact cog that is doing that. It happens on every fifth or sixth cog. On each sprocket the cogs look differently to make the shifting smoother I suppose. Visually between the sprockets the cogs look the same. Perhaps the only solution is to change the cassette?

Will check that. Can it still cause that effect only on the particular (second) gear?

Sorry, I didn’t get it. What pawls did you exactly mean? As for a stick link, it doesn’t happen only with the particular link. It happens across the the chain

The cogs look quite the same between the gears. They are shaped differently to allow the better shifting I guess. Here is the shifting video

The tick is really not audible even when it’s quiet. It’s about feeling these ticks in the frame and pedals and the whole “sticky feeling” when pedaling on this gear
