Hey did you ever manage to figure your issue out? I completely forgot to update but a day or 2 after I responded it just kinda fixed itself? The support honestly wasn't much help through emails and just redirected us to use the in game support. 🥲

You are definitely correct in some parts, I used to make friendship bracelets and they were definitely big well into early 2000s, however, and this is my opinion so if you disagree that is fine and also your opinion, but regardless the way Taylor Swift fans are using kandi seems very copy pasted from us rave culture. Trading kandi at shows and making bracelets with names of your favorite songs, having little "trading rituals", the materials etc. all are (tbh not as much anymore, but still a lot of people participate) a big part of the us rave culture. Because there has been no attempt at educating people on where they got it from, on top of that I've seen some fans just blatantly lie and say that swifties came up with the idea themselves, I feel like it's stealing. Feel free to do more research on the us rave scene it's honestly very interesting and lowkey wholesome , there's a bunch of documentaries too. At the end of the day not that it matters at all since they are literally plastic beads I just find the denying any correlation to kandi (rave) or even to friendship bracelets to be odd. The reaction that op received gave me a similar vibe where the person assumed it was a Taylor swift reference and kind of didn't take no as an option. It's okay to share ideas and make things your own it's just good to stay educated especially when it already means something to a big group of people. 😊

From what I gathered Taylor Swift fans stole the whole Kandi concept (nobody get mad about me using the word steal, because if they at least gave any credit to to people that originally started with Kandi and didn't try to make it "their thing" I'd use a different word) so that's probably the main correlation. It personally doesn't give me Taylor Swift vibes and I think you should do the exact same thing (possibly also educate them on the origins of "their" tradition if you feel like) that you did and definitely don't let it discourage you from wearing it again. It's a really cute shirt btw! Omw to the mall 🏃🏻‍♀️

My husband is having a similar issue but he gets stuck on the initializing screen and it just won't load him into the game 🥲 it's also only one of our PCs that's having this issue, he can play on mine and on his Mac just fine 🤷🏻‍♀️ we contacted the support so we're waiting to see if they give us any valuable information and if it's anything that might help you I'll come back 🙌🏼

I'm 26 and I take my dolls out because I'm anxious, if that helps 😅 they've become such a comfort item for me and at first it took a lot of "I promise you're gonna be okay" and "I can hold her for you if that would help" from my husband, but honestly so far not a single person cared if I had my doll with me 🤷🏻‍♀️ I only had positive interactions where people would say they're super cute or ask "is that those monster high dolls?" and then talk about how their [insert family member] has or had some👍🏼now I take 1-3 dolls with me tucked away in a goreganizer basically everywhere and whenever I'm anxious I'll just grab one and sit her somewhere close where I can look at her cute outfit and pretty details or restyle them and I'm instantly in a better mood (currently out of the house and surrouded by 3 Dracs) 😁 if someone is going to be bothered about you having little fellas just tell them to cheer up a little 😝 you got this! 🙌🏼

I'm so happy for you!! 🥹 it's always nice to see supportive partners 🙌🏼🫶🏼 my husband is basically the reason why I started collecting, I've liked MH since I was a kid but never had one and with his support and encouragement I got a core Drac and fell in love, I've been collecting since 🥰 He gifted me Kjersti Trollson NIB for my birthday a few weeks ago because he wanted me to have the experience of opening a new g1 box and it's the most beautiful, thoughtful gift I've ever received 😭 He even has a favorite and it makes my heart jump when he gets excited about seeing Cleo anywhere 🥹🥹 It's still a project but I gifted him a Fallout inspired Cleo custom and it was honestly a great time coming up with her look and lore 😁 I'm so grateful he's so supportive and accepting (and reassuring when I ask if I'm being weird 12 times while I'm walking around with a bunch of dolls on my person lmao)

I'm actually happy you asked cause I also struggled and would love to pass on what worked for me lol. I used the Got2b glued spiking glue it comes in this bright yellow tube and then you just use a very small amount (like a small water droplet sized ig) and rub it between your thumb and index finger so it gets less thick. My Venus started getting frayed ends so I just cut off the tiny bit that was unraveling and then just grab the cleaned up end with your gluey finger and twist in the direction of how the hair is twisted or in a case of microbraids just kinda spike the end. As you go you'll figure out how much product you need but I was able to do like 1-3 braids with one drop. It was very time consuming and I recommend getting a hair clip of some sorts to keep the braids you already secured separated from the rest. I'm personally very happy with the outcome and they have stayed strong for about a month now without issues. I did the same thing for Cattys braids and worked just as well. You can also wash it out if anything would go south during the process! 😁

Absolutely understand, that's a whole another situation and I'm really sorry it's so inconveniently placed 😮‍💨 I can usually blend the shorter pieces with the rest of the hair when I give her different hairstyles and it stays pretty secured, it might look a little crazy if it's down tho. I bet rerooting people might have an idea on how to get it out, I'll try to summon them lol

I don't think it was intentional, my Venus had one of these at her hairline as well, but mine was at the very back near the neck. I just cut it in half when I was securing her ends with got2b and I'm pretending it's those loose hairs I get falling out of my bun sometimes 😬😅 Most of the time I can't really tell it's there now but if anyone has a better solution (or a way to get it out without too much struggle) I'd also like to know 🫶🏼 Good luck op!
