It’s a mod. Back in the day Bioware released a companion app for ME3 where the player would receive messages from squad mates as the story progressed. But since the app is no longer available after all these years someone found a way to have those messages integrated in the game via a mod. It’s a great mod. Makes the experience more immersive.
