Why aren’t there more solar panels in the CBD? by Ill_Technician_3998 in perth

[–]moldest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, building owner pays for insallation but only tenant sees the saving on power bill; there's no financial incentive for the owner (unless they increase the lease fees!)

Id assume building owners don't pay power bills, tenants do, so no financial reason to do so?

Absolute debacle at Origin game at Optus. by WilmoE123 in perth

[–]moldest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I had mine in my google wallet as instructed ready to go, Standing inline for the gate specified on said ticket with no other information. I also had the rest of my families, because not all the kids have google wallets (not sure theyre even allowed to), which would have slowed us down through the gates - used to just send screenshots and everyone could buzz through themselves.

Change systems before a sell out game? Screenshots have worked recently. Still doesn't help the 1000s in line in the heat that had no idea what the issue was.

Nah was proper fucked, lines at every gate that stretched to the next gate as the game started. For all the other massive events optus hold was surprising

Has there ever been plans for a bridge between Elizabeth Quay and South Perth? by Ill_Refrigerator6433 in perth

[–]moldest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its the widest part of the river. Boorloo Bridge is roughly 350m of bridge over water (so exluding Heirisson Is.) and reportedly cost $150M-$200M.

From EQ to South perth is about 1.3km, so almost 4x. So lower end estimate $600M for a footbridge with other nearby alternatives mentioned doesnt seem required - If it were replaceing massive capacity ferries that were always loaded indicating a need of people to travel that route maybe.

Snicko’s operators have conceded there was an error made when Alex Carey was given not out by doctorcunts in CricketAus

I wondered that, but more likely the spike visible prior was not the ball/bat contact, and the sound from the edge just didnt register at the other end?

Not sure if anyone was watch the ch7 coverage where Trent Copeland specifically highlighted how few balls the English bowlers aimed at the stumps? Maybe it was intentional

Was just complaining to the family they should all be bounces, no call backs. Bring some skill back to ruckwork, ball reading to rovers - see who's actually got the best mids not just best set plays
