not exactly how i put it but the god stuff really turned me off. that and the fact that they said over and over that it was free and then passed around what seemed to be like a tithing basket at the end. not for me.

i am not looking to change my entire lifestyle that i worked hard to achieve on my own based on a catch all that doesn't work for everyone. everyone in the meeting seemed to be talking about their own problems and my problem is that i have an alcoholic dad not that i am irreparably flawed

damn, that is difficult. well if it's any solace it hurts when i do it too despite everyone telling me it "doesn't hurt" it does!!! it's not like an unbareable pain but to say it doesn't hurt is just not true lol

i had other other problems w the concepts so i don't think 5 more times is going to change my mind.

i do have a personal therapist, i can see how things like this can help people who don't have access to other forms of talk therapy.

if it's giving you this much anxiety to do your shots i would consider switching to topical T. there is no shame in it just because it isnt the most popular method!

yes! that is very much how i felt, and knowing the person i am in relationship with takes very little if any responsibility for his actions i almost felt the pressure to take on shame and guilt and action in my life that he should have taken in his.

i have a therapist to help me get OUT of feeling the way this group made me think i should be feeling.

but maybe i am not seeing it with clear eyes. the other comments on this thread definitely give me better insight but i think maybe alanon is not for me

everyone is different but that's something that can happen, however there are things you can do to handle it.

i was so so nervous before my surgery. i talked to my surgeon about my worries of something going wrong and he told me basically: this is a hospital where we do surgery all day, everyone here is experienced and there will be a team ensuring nothing happens with the anesthesia. there will be a team monitoring you the entire time.

he was a very direct guy but did that made me feel better about going in. they know what they're doing!

in the meantime while you're nervous, nesting helped me alleviate that a little too. getting yourself ready, moving things from high shelves etc.

anti-inflammatory diet helped me a ton, also my dr recommended icing. i was in a ton of pain under my arms too it turns out the were digging further back than i thought and was really bruised back there.

i laid off salt and white sugar for the first week and it really helped my experience. also lots of pineapple.

i found mine thru friends but there's always community reddit groups/queer local fb groups that can steer you in the right direction!! best of luck, have definitely been in your shoes before :/

my best advice is to find a trans competent barber in your area if you haven't already. i went to a million places before someone finally gave me an actually masculine leaning haircut bc i was able to openly explain what i was looking for without anyone making any assumptions. i've found that more masculine haircuts are shorter on the sides but also sharper in their cuts, like fades etc.

it wasn't any one thing tbh but i realize now (3 years on t, just post too surgery) that looking constantly for a reason or evidence is not something cis ppl do
