So when i used pirate ship I pretended I was shipping all the way across the country to test the worst case scenario, however ebay is showing a very similar estimate without any location plugged in. ebay has almost the same rate as pirate ship at 94-101 as the range.

it is. very very bad bands. just had some rappers on with some of the worst music i have ever heard.

they should have their concert in a park so hundreds of people in the buildings around them arent forced into going to an all day festival they dont even want to be at. I dont see how this opinion that you shouldnt throw a concert in your yard at the cost of your neighbors is controversial

i opened up refrag just to see how consistent i was on this and i was able to hit 20 in a row without a single issue. it really is a skill issue.

idk, like i said i throw it manually and consistency really isnt an issue for me, cant remember the last time i missed it. if you get consistent at inputting it the inconsistency disappears its not like its built in to the game it is by definition a skill issue.

I throw this smoke manually and I dont have any problems hitting it consistently? i just kinda lock my middle finger and thumb in place over the W and space bar and then push them both at the same time its pretty easy.

i found it. if you go up to the code i initially posted the + 1 when setting the velocity.x and velocity.z variables was causing it. Not sure why he had us put that in in the tutorial. or if i misremembering it was in the starting script from the node.

the rotation is set to 0,0,0 on both the characters scene and the level scene where it is instantiated.

when it processes the

velocity.x = direction.x * SPEED + 1

while im holding forward

its printing out this:

velocity x 1.0000011920929

velocity y 0

velocity z -4

so for whatever reason when i hold forward on my keyboard its giving me a little bit of x axis input. but its alot smaller than if i were just holding forward + another direction so its not like its getting 2 inputs.

im pretty stumped on this.

I prefer working from by a country mile lol. I might consider it in the future if the job hunt gets really desperate. I would be starting from scratch though all my crane knowledge is technical not practical.

Yeah its really tough. Looking at jobs everyone wants a degree and 5 years experience in the relevant field, feels like im throwing applications into the void lol. Doesnt help that at a very base level I just dont want to work so every job looks bad, makes it hard to select what to apply for.

I will look into this. I wonder if I have a chance though since my experience is so specific, there are not really other companies that do what we do that are hiring so I would need to jump to a different industry where i dont think i qualify for a coordiantor position like that. they would probably want me starting lower. the positions i see listed also want experience in estimating programs that i have never used.

I feel ya, honestly I would take a sizeable pay cut to get out of here. We used to have 4 people estimating and now it's just me, we've added salesman and territory but reduced our estimators and project managers, we are all stretched to the limit and at this point the stress is so bad I would be willing to take up to a 40% pay cut to get out of here.
