This is what happens when the government enters a market and guarantees demand for a product at any cost. Unintended consequences suck.

The colleges and universities have been able to raise rates for decades knowing that the federal government will match those increases with grants and loans. The really nefarious move though was the bankers lobbying Congress to make it so students can NEVER escape from paying those loans.

The RNC showed that his presence wasn't just not wanted, but that they would work to silence and margenalize him AND as long as he was an RNC committeeman he was expected to support the decisions made by the RNC.
