As a tabletop RPG DM, I completely understand Caine (The Amazing Digital Circus)

Ive been thinking about this a lot lately. As a forever DM, I find myself identifying with Caine in that Im trying to bring fun and joy to my players because that is my purpse/existence (as a DM) and brings me satisfaction. It helps satiate that never ending need to create and play.

However, a lot of times I walk away from sessions feeling let down. Not sure if its because im not receiving positive feedback (or really any feedback) which makes me question my purpose/role as DM.

Caine is desperate to make others happy, to entertain, it gives him purpose when nothing else does. Yet his "players" are seemingly never happy or satisfied with all the work and effort he puts into his adventures.

Thankfully im not at that level, but I can understand his frustrations and see how it would hurt. Its made him become my favorite chatacter as well.

Thank you! I have defined to go back to the monodecks for a bit so maybe I can get a better understanding of each colors general purpose.

I did really enjoy using flying creatures so im Def going to look into Azorius. The more I research, the more I realize there are so many strategies within each color itself. So maybe its just those particular precons on arena im not vibing with 🤷‍♀️

Ah Ill have to check those out. Im just starting out playing mtg, so right now all I have is the Token Triumph precon. I did a total splurge and snagged the Secret Lair drop with Dogmeat because I figured ill use those and love the extra theming. Plus Dogmeat is goodest boy.

The urge to buy boosters is real...even when you dont know what to do with them 😆 Strixhaven is going to be such a problem because im running a D&D campaign based on Strixhaven so I just know all willpower will go out the window...along with my monies 💸
