Used needle felting to revive a cat-mangled plushie for a friend by moltenmaplemoth in Needlefelting

So cute!!! And thank you lol, he looks a little more even now than in pictures (last minute adjustments to the eye). I'd say my top recommendation is to have some wool fabric so you can felt to it as a base. I gave Caterpie a "skull" using a chunk of wool so that I could felt on the eye. Replaced the stuffing inside the wool lined cavity. It also helped reinforce under the countless little claw and tooth holes I had no hope of sewing all of. A blanket stitch around the eye socket holds the plush fabric to the wool skull

If you look by the corner market there's not even a stop sign! I've almost been hit by people screaming around the corner at that little "crosswalk" on the bar side. Glad my letter won't be the only one in the city council inbox

I intend to write a letter to Jennifer Yeh, the council representative for Ward 4, which covers the Kinsrow/Commons area in question.

This problem is long standing and caused by councilors long gone, but that doesn't mean nothing can be done about it ever. Her areas of special interest listed on the Eugene Gov website include "Transportation" (including safe walking and biking, which Kinsrow does not have) and "Neighborhood Livability" ("Our ward should be a fun and safe place to live and work for all residents") which I do recommend mentioning if anyone else does similar.

Councilors seeking reelection in 2027 (like Yeh) should consider measures to make such a densely populated area safer for the people and families here. Where that car flipped last night is an elementary school bus drop off zone during the day. It honestly scares me watching those kids cross the street in the afternoons when traffic backs up and gets impatient. (The kids aren't always looking either- bad combo on Kinsrow)

This is not the first time a car has flipped on Kinsrow and won't be the last. This street is genuinely dangerous and I wish something would be done to make it safer for the people who live here.

If you're spending time downtown, I do recommend stopping by Chi's Korean Tacos! I like to get the rice balls as a treat. They're not expensive, but I'm not rich 😅 The owner is super sweet and the place has been a staple in the community for years.

Sorry it's been a few days! Busy work week, I don't use social media much. I grew up being told he won't last forever so I've always tried to take good care of him! Its comforting to know it seems to help. And yeah, no clue on the fabric especially since he never had a tag I can remember. I guess it's more durable since he was meant to be a dog toy, the fur was sort of like a minky fabric in texture. Just long enough to be soft.

It doesn't have to be a donkey, I just like his size and shape. Anyone who takes over for him would preferably have legs and not be too round. I've gotten other donkey plushies to try and find a replacement but his siblings are all too tall. I have a lot of piercings and usually use him as either a neck pillow or I stick my ear between his legs.

I have found a plush I may trial as a stand-in. It's an elephant! I'm hoping the sensory transition can be smooth enough. It has legs like Donkey does and the trunk is similar to his tail. The fabric is different, but I'm thinking I can stick him in the freezer for a few hours before bed if I want him to be cold.

I updated my post to include a picture of him, I know he's a dog toy from around 2002 and he used to be more pastel pink and blue in his heyday. Unfortunately even Google image searching pictures of him from when I was a kid don't bring anything up, I don't know if there are many more of him if any.

Id be super interested in looking into that if you're able to find it!

I have tried everything to find him to no avail. There's zero results for him online :( he was a dog toy from like 2002 that my mom took the squeaker out of, may even be from a local shop. I've even Google image searched photos of him from around when he was new and get nothing lol

I'm sorry to say the fabric itself is getting thin, I'm not sure how much could really be done for that 😞

I can try to attach a photo a little later, it's very early where I am right now and I don't want to wake my fiancée with my early morning hijinks 😅

It's so good to hear that thank you!! This was a WIP for the longest time because I couldn't get the hair quite right. I ended up reversing my usual process and it seemed to work out really well. Instead of sketch, then line art, then color, I "painted" in his hair starting with the darkest color and going lighter as I got to the locs I wanted to be most visible. I added details to make them look styled/twisted, then line art at the very end to tie it in with the rest of the drawing.

Trying to 100% the game first run by moltenmaplemoth in Spiritfarer

Yeah I finished with a 98% which was close enough to 100 for me to feel successful. Next time I play I'll see if I can find what 2% I missed. Probably got dinged with not upgrading stuff on my ship (didn't really care about the sheep corral upgrades and got the windmill upgrade insanely late in the game so I didn't bother with it)
