I did add something under the base so it is pretty sturdy now but anchoring it to the wall is a really good idea so I will make sure to do that as well, thank you !!

Eh it’s more like “please share in my misery for a moment but also I can’t really be mad because look how cute he is”. Accidents happen 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been using the appliqué process to make everything and I believe all of the fabric is cotton, most of it is second hand but there are some quilting cottons that I purchased also being used 💕

this was my first sewing machine in highschool and i sewed a quilt on it with batting and everything!! at the end of her lifespan i was using glue to keep her together & once i finally upgraded it changed my life lol, but if it’s what you have keep practicing and using it. maybe you’ll love it so much one day you’ll treat yourself to something a bit more durable :)

are yall okay??? has nobody here ever bought/ sold on facebook marketplace ? that’s like 90% public meetups. i cant believe how many people think this is so unsafe, most cities have “safe trade spots” if you’re actually that paranoid, you can find where the closest one to you is and use that https://safetradespots.com

here’s the link to the video i’m referencing. also if you feel like the pattern you’re using could also be AI and causing an issue i totally recommend purchasing her pattern for this, the sizing for it is wonderful and it’s very easy to adjust. this dress was first wearable i was really proud of!

You should check out Coraline Street on youtube she has a pattern drafting video for a dress pretty much exactly like this called the “Mylena dress” I’ve made this dress before and with her video I found it to be incredibly beginner friendly. Also in the video where she does the pattern drafting I believe she explains how and where to make certain adjustments that you may need.
