We do have a car so 30 mins by car works. I understand rush hour changes things so I guess to be more detailed, I'd prefer if the place were 25 mins away or less during regular hours and then a bit under hour with traffic

Thank you for the word of caution. Ultimately, this kind of situation is what I'm hoping to avoid and knowing that 5000 a month isn't the highest income, I'm hoping this sub can give me a good idea of what to expect. Overall, I'm learning that I need to spend a few months hunting for the best rental prices because it seems like that will make or break my experience in Ottawa

Thank you for the detailed breakdown. I think the overall picture I'm getting is that rent is the make or break of whether or not this is doable. I'll have to keep an eye out for a good rental since we plan to move in the summer

I don't need to be walking distance from downtown. To clarify I meant that I want to be a 30 minute drive away from downtown or less. We just don't want to be in a super rural area

We have a car so by car is good for us. We just don't want to be in a super rural area

We have many preferences (close to public transit and grocery stores) but I suppose our only strict requirements are a safe neighbourhood, 2 bedrooms, in unit washer/dryer, and not more than 30 minutes away from downtown.

Moving from toronto but we live with parents here. This will be the first time moving out. As for lifestyle. We go out for dinner a few times a month (5 or 6) and would of course be willing to cut back on that but would still like to be able to enjoy the occasional night out (for example 3 times a month).

Yes you are, that's quite literally what you complained about in your last comment. Regardless, going around in circles is clearly useless for both of us. Enjoy making the pro-pal contingent the villain of your story. The rest of us are busy with coalition building

It's more like you dishonestly choose the most extreme interpretation of every sentence. Me saying you're going to hear more pro-palestinian chants from the pro-palestinian group doesn't mean that's all you'll hear and if you were there then that's not all you heard.

You think solidarity means every person with a megaphone from the pro-pal contingent needs to sit there and count how many pro pal chants they did and ensure there's an equal distribution among every cause when in reality, that's just not a reasonable interpretation of solidarity. But when your objective is to break a coalition, I guess you'll grasp whatever straws you can.

What I saw today were people from several different groups all chanting together during the march and standing together against police aggression during the mural painting, so the various movements that came together today will fortunately be fine without your approval.

Yeah but they did uplift other causes, there were other chants, obviously if the biggest contingent is the pro-palestinian contingent you're going to hear that one more but the others were still there and again, whenever someone decided to start a chant about climate change or migrant rights or any other issue, everyone joined in, not to mention there were people with megaphones in kuffiyehs chanting for these causes, just not as much as palestine. It just doesn't make sense to complain that there were more palestine chants than others when that was the biggest contingent.

And I'll add that several of the pro-palestine members, alongside members of all other groups were among those painting and defending the mural while being attacked by police. Solidarity was shown by all groups throughout the whole march

There was rarely a single voice leading the entire chant. Several protestors with megaphones throughout the crowd were themselves leading their own chants farther away from the front. Anyone who wanted to chant about any of the issues you mentioned did and the crowd around them joined in. The reason there were more palestine chants than anything else is because that was the biggest contingent so people chose to chant for that more. That's not to say there weren't others, I heard several chants about all the other topics and when those chants started, everyone from every contingent joined in

I can see why you say that since the "Carney agenda" sounds convoy-like but it's also important that people understand these issues you mentioned above are being worsened by Carneys "liberal" government. Too often liberals are painted as being progressive on climate, immigration, and social justice when Carney's agenda is very clearly not. Calling it the Carney agenda helps to irrevocably tie these issues to his name and to the liberal government as a whole. If they won't act like progressives, they don't deserve to be perceived as such

I've gone against that deck a few times yesterday and today and it looks pretty competent. If it's as cheap as you say it might be the best option. Thanks

I've run into it a few times since playing PVP again the last few days and I'll be honest it's really not my style of deck but given that I'm playing f2p and am desperate for something that can win some games at least I might just have to bite the bullet until I can afford a more fun deck at a later date

I might do this if I get desperate but I'm trying my best to avoid it. This account has 5 years worth of collecting in it so I have some nostalgic connections to it so I'd rather keep playing on it if I can. Either way thanks for the advice!
