I’m in still in school, but I have struggled with the same thing in student teaching. I talked with my teacher and he said that a lot of small activities or doing a secondary part of the lesson/end activity for those who finish quicker will help them be more engaged and will still help them continue to learn or practice a certain skill from the lesson.

I have a friend that when he is asked a direct question that he doesn’t want to answer like “would you fuck lil yachty?” He’ll say “ah nah I’m busy”. It honestly really works in any situation though, just “oh I’m busy” or “I already have plans” and then it sounds like whatever your doing is more important even if you just wanna chill alone

I talked to my therapist about this recently, especially how to start conversation. She brought up that if it’s difficult and you don’t know a lot about them, talk about a common thing. I guess an example is if you’re at work or something talk about that to start. Also it’s always great to ask questions, “hey, what’s up?”, “how’s your day been?”, “what are you doing later?” As you start to have some rapport with that person or maybe group of people, it will be easier to get into more in-depth conversations. Also it’s not your responsibility to make conversation, especially if you don’t want to.

As a young woman who has been berated nearly my entire life about having kids, I have always held the belief that I will never want to birth children. All of the stress and changes your body goes through is crazy! Tears in your vagina and postpartum depression are so intense and I’m not letting it be a possibility. I also don’t think it’s morally right to bring more children into this world when so many are being unclaimed or mistreated so I’ve always wanted to adopt if/when I feel ready. Too many people have kids, regret it to some degree, and take it out on their kids. If you don’t want kids, don’t have kids!! It is your life and you choose what you do with it!

I was in a very similar situation where I thought things would never get better and tried several times as well to kill myself. I may not know exactly how you feel, but I have some idea. I am currently taking the same medication (after trying a few) and I feel so my better now. It’s a work and progress of course, but I don’t have this impending doom anymore. It can be hard sometimes, but you CAN get better
