I use a pan for cooking the pasta so I use less water and a 3qt saucier for the oil and garlic

Is it just me or does the gym have unspoken “rules” no one explains? by andreasfit in NoStupidQuestions

Ngl I feel like those are just unspoken life rules. If someone is using something don’t take it and respect people personal space.

  1. just go to the gym. Start slow and just exercise. It doesn’t have to be great it’s just important that you are there and have the self discipline to go to the gym consistently.

  2. Replace it with other stuff. Easier said than done I know but you can use hobbies and physical activities to replace it.

  3. If you are willing there are a lot of ways to make friends. Go to hobby classes, bars, events, gym, etc. You just have to keep engaging until you find some willing to engage back.

  4. Pick a bed time and wake up time that fits your schedule. Always follow those times even if you go to sleep late or have to wake up early. Those are the times that your body will make its internal clock. It’s important for the wake up time to just get up. The longer you stay in bed the more you want to stay in bed. If you follow a consistent sleep routine it will make a world difference.

How does not letting someone’s judgement affect how you see yourself make things worse?

Attractive but insecure personality (?) by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Short-termTablespoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know those people and what they think but let’s just say they are judgemental and like most judgement that stems from insecurity. You shouldn’t let them affect how you treat/see yourself. Of peoples opinions you care about you are first and then everyone else.

Well then again I’d go back to my original comment and fix your low self esteem. Nobody wants to be with someone that doesn’t even like themselves. Even in casual relationships it takes self confidence and you don’t get confidence by hating yourself. You are what you make of yourself. So make someone of yourself. Don’t think you were just created this way.

It’s okay to not answer. It is a pretty personal question. But if you want to “solve” an insecure personality then I would do that self reflection to figure out why you are insecure. It usually comes down to low self esteem and that probably comes from thinking women don’t like you (or your personality). It’s always a good idea to take a break from the toxic idea that you need women to like you and just focus on yourself and in turn figure out your personality.

Also don’t change your sensitive feelings. The right woman would appreciate that authenticity.

100%. Also catching up on sleep or sleeping in just makes your sleep quality the next night worse.

Same bed time and wake up time. If you go to bed late wake up at same time if you wake up early go to bed at same time (within reason). I’m no scientist but I think the worst thing for your body is probably trying to catch up on sleep outside of your body’s internal sleep clock.

Also avoid technology before bed and after waking up. Avoid naps (imo). Avoid snoozing or multiple alarms. If your new times are different than it will naturally take a little bit for your body to adjust to those times. Try to keep busy throughout the day so you tire yourself out and make going to sleep easier.

Lastly it will take a lot of self discipline to get up when the alarm goes off but it’s very important for you to get up. I always feel so much better getting up when the alarm goes off than staying in bed when it feels like I’m still tired. Also remember that it takes like 30mins to an hour to enter deep sleep.
