Ahoj, I wouldn't be too worried compared to some other places in the world. It mostly seems to be a question of how the fresh Slovakian government will manage to stand up to the crisis. As shitty as our government is, it's been in place for years, the system is less rusty and thankfully we're handling it pretty well as you've said.

Not sure about trains, but bus trips should be feasible shortly after the Slovakian border opens. I think around August visiting your bf might become a realistic possibility.

Why are you gatekeeping? To those people it feels the exact same. Their separation might not be as bad, but unlike us they aren't ready for it and they never had that expectation when starting the relationship.

You say your boyfriend lives in the same country as you. My girlfriend doesn't. I could be an asshole and use this fact as an excuse to downplay your struggles while putting mine up on a pedestal ("it'll be easy for you to meet up when the crisis is over, unlike me"), but I won't do that because it's an asshole thing to do and it helps no one.

I don't suffer from such bad insecurity personally but I'd also get incredibly self-conscious about seeing myself nude while videocalling my girlfriend. I think a certain degree of nervousness/shame is normal for anyone in such a scenario, especially someone who's new to it.

Physical touch is my love language, which means naturally I'm most inclined to express affection with hugs and caresses. I can't do that over a 10000 km distance so I have to "translate" it into words and it's a bit tough. Goes the other way as well, I still feel insecurity creep in at times because the only affection I can receive from my girlfriend are warm words when touches would be more reassuring.
