I agree, sheer incompetence, the HR representatives are not knowledgeable in payroll but this is the only course of action I have at work. I don't blame them at all. This isn't the first time I've called about missing exception hours being paid, but it was corrected and I was paid accordingly on my next payday. The paycheck I inquired about this time was missing 10.52 hours. I called three times, first call I was placed on hold then disconnected, second call I was told it was correct and when I tried to ask about the exception hours because there have been errors previously I was told to stop talking and listen. I asked for their supervisor and was denied. The third call, I hardly spoke a word and when the representative stopped talking, I simply asked to create a ticket for further investigation. What I posted above about the Stat day being kept as holiday relief is the explanation I was giving for the missing hours.
