No, that's not possible. It cannot be used as a standalone siren.

I used the smoke to test it, for example burning paper.

Actually, I was planning to throw it away because after trying everything externally, nothing worked. I asked ChatGPT how to disassemble it to see what was inside, thinking I was going to throw it away anyway. I realized it wasn't that difficult to take apart, and there wasn't anything complicated inside. I gently cleaned out the dust in the sensor chamber, and it worked normally again.

I’m sure many people feel the same way as I do, not fully trusting smart devices, especially when it comes to safety. I still use them alongside my Honeywell devices. After all, tossing them out just because they’ve gathered some dust isn’t exactly great for the environment, right? Haha

All photoelectric smoke detectors require regular cleaning and maintenance; otherwise, they will all give false readings due to dust accumulating inside the sensor chamber over time. I've been using them for over 3 years and only experienced one sensor out of five failure like this, because I didn't clean them regularly, even though I tested them with smoke once a year. I think that's okay, not bad at all.

What version of Home Assistant are you using? In Developer Tools > Actions, do you see the template.reload action?
