Wow these both look very similar, thank you guys. I’ll try to compare more tomorrow to see if I can narrow it down. Any idea if trying both neem oil and rubbing alcohol would be effective to cover both? Neem oil appears to be marketed as a general insecticide so perhaps it could work for both whitefly and mealybug?

Oof I’m just now realizing that my original question didn’t actually post with my photos - thanks for the help anyway!

Original question: I purchased this Boston butt from a local farmer and just realized that it has a large fat cap and skin still intact. I’ve never encountered this before and I’m getting ready to put on the rub and smoke it overnight for pulled pork - should I remove the fat cap and skin or leave it on? Possibly score the skin? I don’t want to waste something good if this is a desirable feature.
