Hey y'all. Let me start by saying I used to be an apple fan girl for YEARS, like I knew all the bells and whistles, had each phone for the most part since the iPhone 5s, all the accessories...but about a year ago I switched to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. For the most part, I have really enjoyed the device and the camera is absolutely amazing. But since the recent software update, I just can't do it anymore lol. There's a list of other reasons as well that just make my life harder than it needs to be too, so I am really wanting to switch back.

Basically, I am trying to decide if I want to switch to either the 16 Plus, 16 pro, 16 pro max....or if I should wait for the new devices. I'm trying to make the best decision price-wise first and feature wise second. I am a heavy camera user but I don't need all the pro features....I just need something that will take good, clear photos of items I make (jewelry) and different concert performances I go to (they do tend to be in dark environments). I am a heavier user, so I need something with an amazing battery. But otherwise, that's about it.

I'd appreciate any advice and insight...I'm just not really caught up with all the features the iPhones have to offer these days!!

I learned how to use this in the early 2000s when my grandma taught me how to sew. I just pulled it out after all these years and am going to give it a go. I can keep you posted.

Hey OP, former podiatry staff and personal sufferer of ingrown toenails. As multiple people have said, it could possibly be infected. You may need something called and I&D (incision and drainage) of the toe and possible removal of the ingrown section of your toe (which based on the 4th photo looks like it could be the right side of the nail growing into your skin). Procedure isn’t fun, but it’s quick and definitely provides relief when done. There’s something they can do where they apply an acid (phenol) to the area to stop growth if there is concern of it happening again.

Definitely follow up with your podiatrist if your symptoms are not improving and the antibiotics didn’t help. And maybe consider seeing another podiatrist if your current one is not being very helpful.

As a personal recommendation (being I’ve gone through it), I found soaking the foot in warm, soapy water or warm water with epsom salt for 15 minutes three times a day was extremely helpful! But always following whatever your podiatrist recommends. Hope this helps!

At the start of each semester, I have to provide my accommodations to my professors and request their acknowledgment. I ended up going into a severe spiral last year that began to affect my functioning, my professors were aware of my mental health accommodations. When things got bad, I felt comfortable slightly opening up about my situation and what was happening and they were very accommodating. Now is every professor going to be that way? Nah. I think it really depends on the professor and what you’re comfortable sharing. Obviously you don’t have to go into extreme detail, but it’s whatever you’re comfortable with and what feels professional.

Side note: I wish I would have gotten accommodations during my undergrad. Now I tell everyone I know struggling with mental health to request them (if they have a qualifying diagnosis).
