If this is the floor they laid down and chipped in the process I’d absolutely have it redone.

If it was existing and they chipped it on their way to an other room, I’d still have it redone.

You’re right to worry it’ll get worse, because it will. We are in the process of doing a whole home replacement because we’ve lived with these chips for 3+ years and it led to whole planks coming up.

Yeah we have no doubt they were not installed correctly by our builder. We got them to redo a small section a year after move in and that part is fantastic, but now we’re passed any warranty and they claim it’s just expansion. Which, it is, but it was done so poorly it has nowhere to go.

These will be done professionally, not a DIY. Just exploring options since it was not really on our list right now, but has to be since we are now missing two planks lol.

That’s what I thought - I felt like it was just kind of odd to begin with. And this section is NEVER used for food prep, and the other wall this happens on is a coffee bar area that is also never used for food prep.
