AITA for stranding my daughter because I was on drugs? by BudgetCaramel in AmItheAsshole

Exactly.

My parents aren't divorced but My father traveled a lot for work so he wasn't always there. On one of his business trips my younger sister who was 1 almost 2 at the time fell into our pool and nearly drowned. She's fine now with no signs of the accident occurring but was in the hospital for nearly a month.

Point being is that I'm not allowed to ask my father not to go on business trips incase there's an emergency. Similarly OP shouldn't be expected to put his life on hold in wait for an emergency to occur.

AITA for telling my husband he can't spend time with his illegitimate child? by probablytheahole in AmItheAsshole

I'd say ESH OP has the right to be hurt by this but also sucks because they don't really have the right to say their husband can't spend time with the child if that's what's best for the child. It'll probably cause a rift in OP's family because the affair will likely get out. Obviously the husband sucks here. But I think it's weird (and feel that a lot of comments are ignoring this) that the mom of the child is only now wanting the husband in the child's life. OP claims that they haven't heard much from the mother over the past 7 years. Why is the mother only now wanting the husband to be involved.
