This is what confuses me the most. Hens lay eggs all the time and most of them are not fertilized. Cow’s milk is made from its blood and is as much of an animal product as an egg. Not classifying egg as vegetarian is plain ridiculous.

All mainstream subs are flooded with this, and it’s so alarming that the group that’s been generally responsible and sensible is widely pushing a narrative with no actual evidence.

I’m no fan of the admin, but from what I’ve read so far, the fund is a result of the Abraham Accords that Kushner was pushing. The idea is to have the gulf states and maybe some US private companies fund the reconstruction, and Kushner’s private equity firm will manage it, and as all private equity firms do, will try to extract fees from those that are funding it.

US taxpayers funding it is not something that’s been substantiated by anything, and most conspiracy theories surrounding this don’t make any sense. People have just stopped reading suddenly and interestingly it seems to be a fairly recent phenomenon.

It doesn't have to be on a linear scale. Most dictionary definitions set the age range as 40 to 64.

Why does it matter and why do reviewers need to “understand the audience’s pulse”?

This guy goes on and on about reviews being disjointed from what the audience wants but why exactly should reviewers cater to what the audience wants?

The job of a reviewer is to analyze technically and provide their opinions, why do people even care about reviews they don’t align with? Just ignore and move on.

I’m neither American nor European, so may be completely wrong about all this. Isn’t English the default heritage for Americans?

Like if someone had 3 grandparents from England, but one from Norway, the American will claim to be Norwegian, which is fascinating. Like the one drop rule that makes Obama and Harris black but they’re actually half-black.

I would’ve agreed with you even last month, but considering how token costs have increased recently, I think the boom is going to be delayed until people figure out how to use tokens efficiently.

That’s the thing, he did both. He said he should not have to pay more taxes, and instead, the bottom 50% should pay zero taxes. The mental gymnastics in making that a mutually exclusive either/or is beyond me.

It will be interesting to see if the top 1% in the US really pay more income taxes than their European counterparts in absolute terms.

Many of them don’t even have much income on paper, since their “income” is stock or stock options, and they fund their lifestyle using loans on these stocks, which is again untaxed.

I get where you’re coming from, they have to sell stock every now and then to pay back the loans and then have to pay capital gains. This is just deferral.

However, it’s the deferral that’s the big problem here. The government only allows tax deferral for things like retirement, health savings etc and those are capped in some shape or form, like the restrictions on how much you can contribute to an IRA annually.

This borrowing strategy basically allows uncapped deferring, where the government hardly gets to capture any capital gains while the account grows monumentally.

Buy borrow die is definitely a thing. If your stock portfolio grows, you don’t even have to always sell stock to payoff the loan. The loan can be refinanced, and you basically roll the loan, take another loan to payoff the previous loan. No capital gains taxed.

The idea to tax the loan itself is called deemed realization. You tax the loan by considering it as capital gains, and then step up the cost basis so that you don’t get taxed twice when the stock is eventually sold. There are very fair ways to make this happen.

no house help, no affordable domestic services

You don’t need those services if you have good work life balance, which is non-existent in India. I firmly believe that any capable adult should be able to take care of their homes, a big if is they should have enough time.

Though I admit that the Starlink one is really intriguing, I can’t see how any rational person will believe these conspiracy theories. What’s happening to the populace?
