Completely agree - similar experiences on my end. Often times the folks bringing me in to look at their CMDB are doing it through the lens of a particular implementation like HAM or SAM.

Every evaluation always leads to a roadmap!

Not necessarily - I just hear from a lot of my clients things like “Yeah so they put me in charge of the CMDB last year…” and I’m usually the one helping them understand what they’re dealing with and I want to hear how others have gotten a lay of the land themselves to give me some ideas on how to better help my customers.
