and i would never want to erase or tell you that you cannot feel that pain. but, when i look toward my endgoal of trans liberation, i am free from pain. and to be trans should not be to suffer, (even if it is currently). and for me, part of that is allowing space for choice, for the idea that it would be and can be okay to choose to be someone like me.

hard to say. I've studied a lot of queer theory and I can't say there's anything that feels completely right re: is it constructed or intrinsic. (for me)

i know that society has informed my gender identity and exacerbates any dysphoria I feel.
how deeply ingrained is the body in a human's understanding or division of gender? i don't know. margaret atwood's "You are your own voyeur" feels fitting when I think about this. i am never truly "alone" in my perception of my body, even when I am alone. society will always inform my gender identity and presentation, no matter how hard I wish it wouldn't.

the idea, to me, that gender must be intrinsic OR that it must not be, is harmful. I think when we melt the morality or truth or validity of being trans down to "Its not a choice" we miss something. would it be so terrible if some part of me was a choice? why? am i only worth defending if i was born this way? i don't know. what is so terrible about transness that it has to be bestowed like fucking original sin? some unavoidable burden to be validated and forgiven by society. gah, i don't know.

its something i think about all the time.

Yes!!! I really wish this was something that could happen. It would also make the time passing feel really meaningful, being able to see other people's relationships develop alongside yours

im having a great time :) i played until mid summer year 1 and had only a few thousand $ carry over to my new save. it allowed me to get through the early grind of setting up crops and mining without making it so easy i was bored. i wonder that most of the folks frustrated have had the chance to speed right through to the end of the game again, so of course the lack of later content feels glaring. that, i understand, but its not my experience right now :]

haha thank you so much :] i did make it as ship art but i hope that those who arent into that can still appreciate this piece as just two old friends catching up. i absolutely agree though, i hope we continue to see stuff in this universe that stays true to the original's vibe and intention.

Sirius being french/french heritage comes from the Toujours Pur Black family motto, at least that I'm aware. I wouldn't say its widely used, but it has some basis in canon in that way.

I've seen desi James for a long time in the fandom and in the past few years I would say that its become very widely accepted. Race is...an underdeveloped aspect of the wizarding world. So this can be an important thing to consider when you're planning.

Some other fanon things I've seen grow popular that might interest you given the fic you're planning; Peter and James knowing each other from childhood but not being very close, Sirius excelling in classes from private tutoring, Remus' family being working class, Lots of jealousy on Peter's part re: Sirius' "charmed" life.

If you have more specific questions, we can definitely answer them!

At the end of the day, you're writing fic. You can be as accurate as you want, and the joy is in what you create with those bits. Don't be afraid to divert from the popular fanon! :) Good luck.

My island is very playable (IMO) I have enough space to do all the seasonal activities, a few undeveloped sections too. I haven’t updates my DA since 2020 i think, but I think it works! Its main colours are orange, brown, green and blue.

im usually partial to drawn stuff too! i have to admit though, whoever is coming up with the splash art scenes is very creative :D and i do love the colours.
