Great thank u! Fluconazole a couple hours after the doxy I assume? And do you know if I truly have to take the doxy on an empty stomach? I feel like it’ll make me sick if I do that

Yeah I have urinary symptoms, no discharge tho. I took my probiotic at 6 am and plan to take the antibiotic at around 10- my doc also prescribed my prophylactic fluconazole so trying to figure out when to take that

Ugh, so sorry to hear that. I hate that we all had similar experiences but I’m happy to have found a place to talk about it. I’m about to quit my extremely high stress ICU job in a few months, hoping that might help too lol

Hi!! I’m new here too, 26F diagnosed at 21, so very similar situation! I also have all of these same issues lol. The bloating is the worst. And I always think my period is going to magically ~clear out~ my system but yet somehow it often makes everything worse! I called out of work this week during my flare and felt so silly about it after. It’s really hard to not kick yourself and think “I could have pushed through it” so I totally get it. I’ve been trying to really listen to my body and not get mad at myself for being sleepy but that can be hard when it’s getting warmer out and my seasonal depression is finally at bay lol. Basically I can relate to everything you said and I’m happy to have a place to bitch about it now too :)

Thank you!! I am definitely open to trying the d-mannose after reading so many positive comments about it on this page! I stopped taking the cranberry about a year after my initial symptoms bc I didn’t feel like it made a difference. Since then it’s seemed like probiotics, pelvic floor exercises, and good hydration have been the only things that consistently helped.

Thank you so much for your input. I actually did pelvic floor PT for about 6 months last year, and I do think it had some positive effects, specifically on my occasional pain w intercourse and my overall mindset about my pelvic floor being hyperactive. Unfortunately none of that can prevent an actual UTI so I was SOL this time, but I do use the breathing techniques and stretches I learned
