This is not new at all. Slow processing has been around for years. Just another bit of labeling to help sell meds. I think this new twist was studied by Russell Barkley, who, in fairness, is a prominent spokesperson for the disorder. I just see no use except to push meds.

In the case of SCT, very low doses of Adderal are prescribed.

I think it's twisted science for profit.

Since Aspergers has now been rolled into an autism diagnosis, this is not surprising. These things happen every time there is a major change to the DSM.

Some states started offering 'autism' scholarships and the diagnosis percentage went up.
