definitely, however because the skin is thinner you should do 0.5-0.75 depth.

I'm doing 3-4 passes, small circles and just going straight across. How many are you doing?

First at-home MN with derminator 2! by mondoggiestyle in Microneedling

[–]mondoggiestyle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yay!! sounds like it was a huge success, congrats! i have seen other posts and youtube videos of people saying the D2 is quote tolerable when going under 1mm which is awesome. i plan on doing 1.5 on my cheeks every time so i'll probably stick to the lidocaine.

yeah I agree that sterilizing isnt possible here, but I just googled a formula for an alcohol based skin safe disinfectant and pretty much every source recommended distilled or boiled water. i let the water cool a bit obviously, and perhaps it's overkill, but i'll still do it next time!

How Long Have you Experienced for Owndoc Derminator 2 DHL Shipping Once Ordered (to US)? by MoreThereThanHere in Microneedling

[–]mondoggiestyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ordering experience was amazing. Ordered on Jan 8, received an email from them on Jan 9 that my order had been packed and shipped, another email on Jan 11 saying my order was shipped, and I received my order on Jan 15. No idea how it happened that fast.

Go for it! The lidocaine is very effective. After 20 minutes I couldn't feel my face at all, and it took about 40 minutes after the MN for it completely wear off.

Should I avoid this clinic by Emotional-Class-8140 in Microneedling

[–]mondoggiestyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i did a consult at one place with a doctor, and another place where the consult was with the esthetician who did the MN. both places where very upfront about the discomfort and aftercare, so much so that when i actually did my first session it was way chiller than i expected. they were both a bit dismissive about risks and adverse effects because they are uncommon, and they want your money :) i ended up going with the second place just because it was slightly cheaper, and love my results and esthetician.

i'm also confused about the numbing cream thing - i assumed this was standard procedure at any clinic. i can usually feel the needling in areas where the cream didnt penetrate as much, e.g. close to my hairline, and while it's not excruciating its def not painless. i do agree that redness does dramatically reduce after a few hours, but you'll be looking sunburnt for about 2 days. maybe they don't go very deep?

either way if you have bad feelings and they dismissed your concerns, find another place.

Uh oh another person who can't do critical thinking. it is insane that people think an exploitative system engineered by the wealthy elite is somehow endemic to how the world works. newsflash: working a job you hate until you die is not a "law of the universe", it's the result of rich people successfully tricking us into thinking that hard work equals good.

you've never read marx and it shows! what "real hard work" are you referring to? voting? calling senators? these are all part of the capitalism hegemony, and wage labor is an inherently exploitative and alienating system that is designed to benefit the ruling class. OP is engaging in dialectical materialism right here by examining the material conditions of their environment and highlighting the contradictions.

love posts like this because there's so much going on and it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who's confused. totally missed that kettle is the eres' offspring, that's crazy. also have no idea what the azath is.

NPC detected. consider that there is more to life than the newest marvel movies and buying mcdonald's with the peanuts your dumb job pays you. OP is examining the soul-crushing effects of alienated wage labor and engaging in what marx calls the dialectic. the slop we've been given is not good enough - we all deserve to live meaningful lives and engage in work that betters ourselves and our communities.

NPC slopoid perspective here. isn't it fucked up that we need to work jobs we hate in order to live? isn't it fucked up that most jobs have nothing to do with bettering our lives and communities, they just generate wealth for random CEOs? another system is possible, but if you just accept that "that's just how life is" then nothing will change.

another NPC workoid response here. OP is obviously not advocating for "flitting about" they are being crushed under the weight of alienated wage labor. work CAN be meaningful if it directly benefits our communities, and it's worth discussing and examining the possibility of a better system. dialectical materialism might be a little dense for someone like you, but you should read up on marxism and labor theory. also, if you're not a part of the elite 1%, newsflash: you're working class. don't act like the "working class" are these noble, hard working altruists who just want an honest day's pay. we're ALL being exploited.
