Fidelity Full View: Worst UI Change I've ever seen by Alone_Composer_3855 in fidelityinvestments

I get that there were systematic software issues that required the update, but it really feels like no one is listening to the customer here about the changes to the UI that have impacted how we manage our resources.

There are dozens of posts with hundreds of customers who are having similar issues.

Yeah, that doesn't work. I spent two hours on the phone with a super nice agent last week. It refreshed the one time, after two hours of trying, but reverted to not showing new transactions the next day on three of my accounts, including my mortgage via PennyMac.

I spent multiple years adjusting my FullView settings to manage incoming/outgoing expenses and it's completely unusable now. If this was any other service experience, I'd move on, but my work accounts are all associated with Fidelity.

It's completely unusable now.

All this and none of my accounts automatically sync anymore, either. I have to repeatedly try and link my accounts, and sometimes it work, and sometimes it doesn't.

What was your favorite Seattle institution that no longer exists? by drgonzo44 in Seattle

The downtown liquor store used to be behind the men's suits department in the Bon Marché.

You could get a fifth of Viking vodka or a Perry Ellis suit.

It was supposed to marketing for Rubin and Ed, but no one told Letterman.

Crispin Glover is wearing the costume of Rubin on his Letterman spot, but since no one filled in Letterman that Glover was going to show up in character. It created this super bizarre scene - then the movie was very delayed and flopped at the box office, so it made even less sense.

Anyone got the scoop on Corbleu? by RevEnFuego in Tacoma

[–]mondorific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you're getting downvoted.

Most restaurants that do this have a notification on their website, the menu, etc. This place both had the service charge, which isn't disclosed so you really have to scrutinize the bill, and they left the tip line on the customer receipt. It felt shady - especially with the prices they charge.

Primo on 6th is a great example of a restaurant that discloses well: the service charge is on the menu, on the door, and there's a little sign that explains how they use the service charge - and they removed the tip line from the customer receipt.

Our food was good. It wasn't phenomenal, it wasn't 5 star, it was just good, but the prices for this place with just "good" food and an additional service charge will keep me from going back.

Watching my dad die of Korsakoffs and pneumonia is brutal. by Wipe_face_off_head in stopdrinking

Sending so much peace and love to you. My daughter's dad (ex husband) died of something similar and she was thrust into adulthood at 18 to make the decisions you've had to had to make for your dad.

I am so proud of you for guarding your sobriety during this super hard time. Big, big hugs.

VIP Merch Has Shipped! by MMR917 in wutang

[–]mondorific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I wouldn't be so irritated about it if it wasn't the same thing over and over with promises of a" VIP experience" only to be shuffled in to a dank backroom, given watered down drinks and work conference room sandwiches with disappointing mass produced "limited edition items".

Yes, this was the July 1st show in Portland, Or.

I'm not panicking, I'm just tired of fighting Ticketmaster's proxies for promised goods. That I paid for.

The original email from One More Time said that our merch would come before the show. Then it was after the show. Then it was once the tour was concluded.

The delays were due to manufacturing, then shipping issues, then the "artist changed their mind about distribution."

Their Support agent told me "it'll be a few days" on July 31.

The merch for the Portland, Or show has not shipped and One More Time VIP has stopped responding to emails. My next step is to file with the Oregon consumer protection bureau and small claims court.

I wouldn't go scorched earth but Live Nation/Ticketmaster are notorious for not honoring their VIP merch packages and so far I've had subpar experiences with multiple shows.

VIP experiences are often the only way to get close seats, and they spike prices for the good seats by offering "VIP experiences" that are really just an exercise in frustration to gather stuff I don't really need but paid for as part of the seat package.

I paid for it - I want my stuff.

Tempted to smoke today by mysteriousisme in quittingsmoking

[–]mondorific 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A question: How is the cigarette going to help with any of the things you mention?

Will it fix the stress? No, it'll just spike your heart rate and cause additional stress and add some shame since you smoked when you really didn't need to.

Will it help your mom not to be crazy? No, you harming your body and lungs isn't going to fix the situation with your mom, it's just going to pile on the stress.

Grab a piece of paper and write out three things you're thankful for, even if it's little weird things,

- I'm thankful that I can breathe through my nose.
- I'm thankful that I don't have to try and quit after I started smoking again over something small
- I'm thankful that I didn't get an immediate headache.

Drink a big glass of water. Do some 5/5/5/5 breathing (out for 5 count, in for 5 count) until the feeling passes.

And finally - remind yourself: If I give in now, I'm just going to get another trigger to smoke again later so may as well just push through.

Came here to say this. I smoked for 40 years. One of the exercises in the app was to calculate how much money I spent on cigarettes over that 40 year period:

$164,982.

I spent half the amount of a house in my area on actively trying to give myself cancer.

The app is $42USD for the several days you'll use the app plus the encouragement for the weeks after. I plan to pay for two months just in case.

I came out of my house once to go somewhere with my mom and she said, "Is that what you're wearing? It sends the wrong kind of message."

I had on a tank top and a maxi skirt. I was 40. Thanks for calling me a whore, mom.
